Not sure, but we'll continue to only accept recorded and verified runs.
Thanks, Vurse. We're back again with more board clearing! There's a giant new patch and literally everything is going to be wiped. I archived everything on archive.org (https://web.archive.org/web/20180602011811/https://www.speedrun.com/robloxsr4) already. I'll create new categories for new modes if I deem it necessary and I'll remove existing runs and obsolete categories.
Thank you, everyone!
NOTICE OLD RUNS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED! Same as the previous clears.
If there are more than 6 people in the lobby, you don't need all perspectives, but you need to wait for the last player to finish. If you have 6 or less, then you need to get all perspectives (unless it's clear that it's an empty lobby and not just a private server) and at least the last person's perspective must be seen to finish. It's encouraged that all of the perspectives are fully recorded, though, in case of inconsistencies.
No, we now use Crazy's official timer. The only time we don't use it is in the Late Flood categories. The timer starts when you move or jump, turning or using an emote doesn't affect the start.
These are all trivial and I don't think they will be implemented anytime soon. Sorry.
If they are buffed, then people can just do better and update their times. Simple.
I knew you could do this but it felt better and seems less risky to do it the normal way. I guess I'll start doing this now
Works fine, I assume we use the in-game timer?
No because it takes a day for each rod to be delivered.
I'm not sure what you mean. His run is legitimate. If there are any fishy instances, give me a video timecode.
The patch to the game in January 2018 fixes a glitch that we allowed in both No Skips and Skips. If you fall from an elevated height on to the left or right edge of a platform, you will be boosted high into the air, and higher if you jump around the same time. This has been patched, and significantly affects level 1 skip/shortcut, along with other runs that unintentionally had this glitch in it in levels like level 3.
In the same patch, portal transportation to other levels have been made significantly faster to enter, shaving a lot of time off runs. Another thing that was changed was the jump height. Jump height was made slightly lower in the patch.
This is why we needed to split up the leaderboards into two different sections. Pre-patch runs are now essentially an archive.
Strange, never has happened to me. Sometimes I mistime starting up my movements and go too early, but that's it.
Reminder that splicing, editing, or manipulating runs to make them shorter or faster when they aren't is against the rules. It might not be evident, but it is certainly not fair play and it is certainly unfair to others that are trying hard to get PBs.
Thank you.
