I moderate Flappy Golf 2. I have not seen one of the Super Mods effkay online once. In the 5 months he has been offline, I have become a new mod, and we have made drastic changes to how we moderate the game. Due to these changes and his inactivity, I don't think it's accurate to list him as one of the mods anymore.
In a unanimous decision among all active mods, we have decided to remove Any% Little Skips and Any% Big Skips. Here is our rationale:
- We have an Individual Holes category, so Any% Big Skips is obsolete
- Any% Little Skips is arbitrary and pointless, in addition to its being made obsolete by the Individual Holes category.
In addition, I've made a few observations:
- Not all devices are consistently able to perform the glitch necessary to skip levels
- It is impossible to calculate load times for runs with skips
Thanks for your understanding. Happy flapping!

We use these methods for timing runs in Flappy Golf 2:
Timing runs to the frame using only Youtube Removing load times (This guide needs to be updated with a video tutorial)
The same timing methods are used for this game, except load times aren't removed
@GhostlyGibus Do you still have the video for your 20 More Courses run? Twitch doesn't have the video anymore
User @Brian , who appears to be the most recent Any% record holder, submitted three obviously spliced IL runs to the Flappy Golf level leaderboard. I'm reaching out because this seems to be a fairly high-profile speed game, with over 100 unique runners in the Any% category, and I think it's likely he cheated here too. I would encourage any active mod in this game to re-evaluate his submission for signs of splicing and remove it at any sign of doubt. Thank you
Yeah new runs are posted all the time. If you want to join in on the discussion, we have a Discord that's active daily

Hey Flappy Golfers! I noticed speedrun.com recently added Flappy Golf 1 and 2, and I've been watching things progress here for a couple of weeks. If you aren't aware, a community for Flappy Golf 1 and 2 already exists and we have a multi-purpose Discord server where we communicate about high scores and fastest times (mostly high scores at this time). Most of us come from Cyberscore where charts for flaps mode in both games and time mode in the 1st game exist.
That said, you guys are welcome to join the server and I can add a speedrunning channel or two in the server if you want to make it your base of communication. The server has been around since October 2016. Any questions can be directed towards me. Take a look and hope to see some of you around. ?
The above statement has been changed to reflect the decision to add a "Control Style" variable to the Any% leaderboards instead of separating Any% into two categories. This way, the fastest Any% run is shown on the Level Leaderboard, but there is a way to distinguish Mac runs from mobile runs.
With @RockinJack18 's recent Gravity Lab run, there was a unanimous decision among all active mods to add a way to distinguish Any% runs achieved on Mac vs. runs achieved on mobile.
The reason we split the leaderboard is because it is possible to do multiple flap inputs per frame on Mac, which isn't possible on mobile. This difference in it of itself isn't enough to warrant such a change on the leaderboards, but RockinJack18's run showed us that Mac users can exploit this capability to use setups that are next to impossible on mobile.
As Flappy Golf 2 becomes more and more optimized, we can foresee Mac proving to be the superior platform for Any%. All of @PuzzleKing 's runs have been marked as having the Mac control style, which has resulted in his obtaining many uncontested records (when filtering by control style). RockinJack18, of course, holds the WR for Gravity Lab Any%
While technically Mac has an advantage over mobile in Gold% and Superstar% as well, we have not split the leaderboards there because we don't (yet?) have evidence that the advantage is significant enough to warrant a change in the leaderboards.
Happy flapping!
For the past few months we've had a rule in effect making the use of a microphone mandatory during a video-recorded run.
One thing I've found is that sometimes after completing a run, the video will save without the microphone audio, even though I turned on the microphone before pressing the record button. (I run the game on iPhone 6S). This is why for some of my recent Gold% runs (Oil Field, Roller Coast, and Portal Mag Land) there is no microphone audio.
Since then, I've discovered restarting your device before starting a recording session will guarantee the microphone audio saves correctly. I know that these runs are indeed single segment, but since they don't follow all the rules, I was wondering if I should leave them up or take them down. Thoughts?
I think I'll change the timing to start on the first frame all the buttons appear onscreen. As for downloadable courses... it looks like Noodlecake adds new courses from time to time (most recently being December 2017) so I'm thinking for now we don't include downloadable courses in full game runs, although we will have them on the IL leaderboards
Sorry, the majority of our moderation work is done over at Flappy Golf 2. I'll work on porting over rules and stuff.
