Just, if you plan to run sonic games, dont use bizhawk.

Sega Genesis: World of Illusion, Castle of Illusion, Aladdin, any other Disney game. For World of Illusion, Castle of Illusion, Aladdin, any other game of the Disney series, we would recommend BizHawk (The actual most accurate Sega genesis emulator).

Snes: Disney games again. They are really short and often not too hard. If running any of the mickey games, you are again safe with BizHawk (Still one of the most accurate emulator for even the snes).

What about the steam version? It should be the same as the genesis version, as it is an officially released emulator.

World of Illusion was my first. I think Crack Down is my best game.

Coop runs are interresting and fun to do, but I do retro games and need someone in the Netherlands for it.

The any% wallglitch category has been added. This is a category that is only possible in the steam version, thus you must be using the steam version for this category. Any other version or emulators are immediately rejected.

I would think shortening load times is a good thing. He is online streaming right now. I do not suggest to cause an issue in twitch, but you can sent him both a whisper and a message there. He should see it. Ask him to explain it, so that you can understand why. Stay civil and try to solve this issue. If he refuses to respond, ignore him and just go enjoy speedrunning it. Don't let others ruin your fun.

I also suggest to put a post on the games forums. An extra place where he should see it.

The clipped run seems to be odd to me. I have never heard of twitch clipping like that without making it separated videos. I already see it skipping 30s of his video, which makes revivification by others hard. But the other question is, what is the rule he added, and why did he do that? As far as I know, we are trying to beat a game as fast as possible. Adding a rule after one submitted a run, makes it questionable. I would say, talk with the moderator, ask him to explain his actions. As I can see it right now, he just want to have his record, but maybe he found a good reason for adding that rule.

So far, we have seen no proof for cheating, and only the mods falsely accusing of cheating. If they do not and/or cant provide proof, they cant reject it. These mods do not deserve their position. Anyway, you shpuld not let them ruin your fun or give them the pleasure of hurting you. I recommend to do what FurryWulfz said. Also, if any of the involved mods read this, I will demand you to show the evidence. Evidence is everything, and the most important in this case.

I got in speedrunning after seeing Sethbling run SMW. Before, I had beaten some games with every possible challenge, except trying to beat it as fast as possible. No hit challenge, no upgrades challenge, etc. Once you have done that several times, it is no longer a real challenge. I was looking for a way to keep a game challenging for me, and came upon speedrunning as a good way to keep some games relevant to me.

I started with World of Illusion. I always enjoyed the Donald levels more than Mickey, so it was naturally that I picked that category up. It has more unforgiving stages, and trying to beat it as fast as possible was a new experience. I do run some games on and off, since my lack of time at certain periods. This do make it so that when I and one friend of mine has time, we do a (blind) race of a retro game. Racing is fun, but at times I do have to remember not to reset.

I am more talking about pure RNG games. An example is Minecraft with random seed generation. That can mess you up at the start already, or give you a great start. A bit RNG in a game is fine, but I was talking about a game or category that is fully RNG based. Something that JakeRook wanted as well, and used it to insult tcd with it.

But still, it still stands that runners prefer to limit the amount of RNG in their runs. Even if prepared, bad RNG cost time.

Not to start an issue, but JakeRook, from what I have seen, you asked to be added as a moderator in your very first post. About your ingame timer end, it might be true, but the rules were set for a different point. But instead of discussing, you tell him to make you moderator so you could change it. Also, from what I have seen in all runs, is that ingame time is not shown at the end. And there are always factors like lag, which might make the In game timer not working properly. But yet, I saw you not trying to discuss, and instead start to insult him. Others gave you suggestions on things, you just threw them out of the window.

You started to post to remove him in every of your posts. And when someone corrected you, you started to insult that person as well. Did I even see you compare him to Hitler? Kid, please seek some help. An attitude like that will never help, and will make people take you less serious.

Now, for your points: Ping is a huge matter for timings. If you actually did understand things, the ping shows how much delay there is on your inputs to the server. You want your ping as low as possible. A ping over 1000ms means you have 1s lag. This is a huge factor in speedruns, as it messes up with your times.

RNG is a thing that is best avoided. There are some RNG runs, but it is more dependent on luck than on skill really. Sure, you can show skills there, but the second place in an RNG category could have gotten rotten luck, while he would be a lot more skilled than the first place who got a lot of luck during his run. This is why runners prefer to limit the amount of RNG in their runs as much as possible.

He also did not ignore suggestions. He ignored your demands on making you a moderator, and declined your runs because you cannot follow the rules. You submitted a run in a category that does not yet exist. Instead of requesting it, you just placed it. He has been in his right the entire time, and if you dislike it, don't run it.

Removing his mod status will not result in anything. You will never be made a mod, with your current attitude. You claim to try to help him, but you are pushing your own points through, and insults those who disagree with you. It is not tcd11 that has no respect to speedrunners, it is you. You disrespect a community, speedrunning in general with your claims, and even a full moderator with your statement. Your years of experience in playing the game, does not amount in experience in speedrunning the game. Gaming and speedrunning are two entirely different things. So, for the sake of every speedrunner out here, stop your claims, insults and anything else, and look at yourself. And don't take it out here, keep it to the World of Tanks community.
