Same rules as Any% it seems, except you run in free-play mode instead of story mode. This allows you to use any character you have to get to the end.

When is actal timing? Can it be when you press A after it says xbox will use autosave and end just after continue is pressed on the final showdown right before credits'?

Timing for most is you start once you press continue after selecting an auto-save slot, and ending either as you finish the last input (easier if there's a final boss, as usual) or when you press finish story after the final stats screen.

OK thanks ozotuh, however this game is not an autosave. You have to use a certain place at a checkpoint or save and exit at a hub level.

The Lego Movie one of the Lego games I have yet to play so I am unfamiliar with it. Do you select where you save at the beginning of the game, before entering a level? If so, after that point is when you save. If not, you should be splitting when pressing "New Game"
