About the new category
The idea for Itemless definitely has been around for a while, might be a little too niche for most though. It definitely has enough to warrant its own category, since we're so reliant on the tanuki leaf it'd be like playing a completely different game, just a matter of if enough people would be interested. If it does become something official I might try it myself.
This might be a good time to consider a Category Extensions board, as for a while a few people also ran "Soflock%", and this isn't really documented anywhere except maybe in some Google Doc.
