Wow, I didn't expect to get my very first world record this quickly in this game! Well a big thanks to that is the new route I came up with. I couldn't really pull off Ico's strats, so I just tried something easier, and after a while of tinkering with it, it pulled out ahead! It's honestly not that difficult once you get the hang of it, it's even quite fun too!

This wasn't the first world record improvement that I got in my session though. I actually got a total of 4 improvements, before achieving the sub 9 second run: 9.352→9.282→9.202→9.028→8.963

The problem with this route though is that if you're too fast in the first half of the run, you will get hit by the purple electricity shot near the end. This has happened to me on a few runs, albeit very rarely. I do think a re-routing of where to land is in order to avoid getting hit, at least once this route gets optimized a bit further. But even sticking with this route, I'm sure the ending can be improved since there is a lot of possible ways you can land and dash, so I wouldn't be surprised if what I'm doing isn't the optimal way.
