Powerpuff Girls Him and Seek any% route by frozenflygone and bean_jammin

Timing: Start: Begin timer when you select the file Game 1, Game 2, or Game 3 in the New Game menu option. End: Stop timer when you see the flashing heart screen after you turn in your items to Ms. Keene.

Recommended Splits and Timing: Bubbles Level Split when you pick up the banjo after defeating Fuzzy. Blossom Level Split when you pick up the tiara after defeating Princess. Buttercup Level Split when you receive the pickle from the Mayor. Tokyo Townsville Split when you pick up the lanturn after defeating the Balloon Monster. Boogie Man Split when you receive the dancing shoes after the dance mini game. Jail Split after the conclusion of the Mojo Jojo frogger escape game. Mojo Observatory Split when you receive the cape after defeating Mojo Jojo. Him Split when you receive the belt after defeating Him. End Scavenger Hunt Final split when you see the heart screen after turning in your items to Ms. Keene.

General Tips: The red bar is your health, the yellow is magic. Health does not regenerate but fills with small or large heart pick ups. Magic refills over time and fills completely when you collect the three stars item. Chemical X recharges health and magic, or revives a fainted girl. Magic is drained by dashing (hold A), laser eyes (tap R), or special moves (R+A or R+B). Laser eyes takes approximately ¼ of meter while special moves take ½. There is one mega special move (R+L) that requires all the girls to be in your party, and takes a full magic bar to perform (this move can 1 shot most bosses). Bubbles flies the fastest. Use her when traveling between locations. When fighting bosses, switch to Blossom or Buttercup to preserve her health. Buttercup flies slowest. Dash when you have a full magic meter. It’s fast. Try to preserve some magic for boss battles.

Intro Sequence- Pokey Oaks: Mash through the intro text. Hit Select twice to open and close scavenger hunt menu. Select any of the three girls. I recommend Bubbles, Blossom, then Buttercup.

Bubbles Level: This involves putting each animal in their pen. No fighting required. You will gain magic when you carry the animals as you cannot dash with them. Use this to your advantage. Be sure to wait until you see “area clear” when you put in the third animal of each type before leaving to the next screen. Talk to the zookeeper, then go right and enter the first fence. Go left to grab the first bear. Then go right and grab the other two. Go right to the elephants. Grab the elephants go right, grab the lions then go right, grab the goats then go right, then grab the meerkats and go right and use the door to exit. Go all the way left and speak to the zookeeper to get the stuffed animal and auto go to fight Fuzzy. Use special moves and punches to defeat Fuzzy.

Blossom Level: This route can still likely be optimized. Go inside and talk to Ms. Keene. Go right and grab the first toy, then go through the door. Grab the toy on the slide, the defeat the large Gang Green Gang member. Defeat the thin GGG member, then go up to grab the toy on the tree. Defeat the small GGG member, then go right to grab the toy in the basketball hoop. Defeat the cool GGG member, then go up to get the toy in the tree. Defeat the final GGG member, grab health if needed, go back to Ms. Keene. Save magic for boss fight. Use special moves and punches to defeat Princess.

Buttercup Level: **We utilize a death warp in this route. You will want to take intentional damage and ignore all health pickups so that the death comes as soon as possible after the last pick-up. ** Speak to the mayor, then enter the museum and speak to the first guard. Defeat the first four enemies for three gems. (Expect 1 hit from enemies). Go in the 1-B elevator, then go left. Skip the first enemy then defeat the second enemy for a gem. Skip next enemy to the left. Go left past stairs, defeat gun enemy for a gem. Go left down stairs and defeat the fist enemy for a gem. (expect 1 punch). Go right and up the windy staircase. Defeat bat enemy for a gem (+1 hit), gun enemy does not have one but can get in the way. Go right, skip next two enemies. Defeat larger enemy to the right next to the elevator. Grab gem and go past elevator down the stairs. Skip first enemy, defeat gun enemy for a gem. GRAB THE POODLE. (Expect 1 hit). Go right and down staircase, left, skip bat enemy kill second enemy for the final gem. Go right and get killed by the bat enemy (if you do not die from the bat, try and get hit by laser behind him). This will send you back to elevator 2-B. Take the elevator down to 1-B and head left to the exit. Talk to the sheriff and return the gems before leaving. Go outside and talk to the mayor to receive a pickle, then mash text to finish.

Tokyo Townsville: Go right until you reach the Gardens park. Go inside, go right, and exit to Tokyo Townsville. Defeat all the enemies- go in a clockwise circle starting by going left to do this most efficiently. There are enemies in the sky and on the ground that must all be defeated. Save magic for the boss battle and switch to blossom and buttercup prior to the battle to save bubble’s health. Once all the enemies are defeated, exit to the gardens and defeat the balloon monster. Grab the lantern.

Boogie Man: You will automatically trigger the Boogie Man event. Defeat enemies in a clockwise circle starting by going left to do this most efficiently. There are enemies in the sky and on the ground that must all be defeated. Once all enemies are clear, the last one has the password. Return to the arcade to trigger the dancing minigame. You must get a majority Perfect or Great dances to proceed. Try to skip the last button on each segment to remove the time for the combo to count.

Jail: Go right until you reach the jail. Enter and talk to the guard. You must punch or dash through the guards to free them. For H/I and D/C, you go through the room and exit the other side. Rooms you must enter in order (going left, up, right, up, left in a snake format): Q, M, guard at bottom corner, H/I, K, D/C, B, A(has two), guard at top corner Once all ten guards freed, return and talk to guard at front.

Mojo Mini Game: WR video starts at 14:45 if you want to watch The hitboxes are VERY large. Play this safe. You can practice this in the arcade, the cycles are the same. My Route (or do what is most consistent for you) Cars 1: just go down and avoid Water 1: go right, get on the large ship, then small, take sub over to middle, to small ship, to sub then free Houses 1: Avoid PPGs on lines 1, 4, 7, and 10 Houses 2: Avoid PPGs on lines 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10 Water 2: Go all the way right then down onto small ship, down to the lefter small ship, quickly down to sub, down to first small ship, quickly down to sub, down to large ship, right once and wait then down onto the right sub (but on the left side), wait then down to sub then tap left, VERY quickly down to small ship, wait then down to sub, down to large ship, wait then down to small ship then free Water 3; down onto small ship, down to sub, down to sub, scoot left then wait then down to small ship, down to small ship, then free Houses 3: Avoid PPGs on lines 1, 3, 4, and 7 Cars 2: Wait for clear in middle then down and avoid, avoid Bubbles on line 5 Houses 4: Avoid PPGs on lines 1 and 2 Woo done

Mojo Observatory: A new out of bounds glitch was recently found! Observatory only had three load screens, and you’ll only need to get the yellow and purple pass key. OOBservatory Glitch The out of bounds clip is possible at almost every corner in the rooms. Position yourself against the wall and close to the floor (or ceiling) so that the corner is pointing toward you. Move toward the corner until you are about one character length past the wall, then move directly up or down into the out of bounds area. Re-entering into bounds is the same as going OOB. If the player character moves further away from the floor (or ceiling) after trying to move out of bounds, you moved too early. If the player character moves further away from the floor (or ceiling) before trying to move out of bounds, you moved too late. Load Screen 1 After entering the Observatory, go right and OOB at the first corner on the ceiling. Go up and a little left and move back into bounds at the hallway with the green door. Exit left. Load Screen 2 Go left and up and OOB at the first corner on your left. Go all the way down, then all the way left. Go up and move back into bounds by the yellow key. Pick up the yellow passkey. Go up and right and exit through the yellow door. Load Screen 3 Go right and OOB a the first corner on the ceiling (the floor above it may be easier). Go left, all the way up, and right until you see the purple door and purple passkey. Move back in bounds at the corner to the top left of the purple passkey. Pick up the purple passkey. Go right and OOB at the first corner on the floor. Go left and up toward the purple door. Move back in bounds at the corner to the top right of the purple door. Exit through the purple door. Mojo Jojo Fight Defeat Mojo Jojo. Save one girl with full MP for the final phase. He will first take damage only on his hand cannons. Once those are gone, hit the head of the mech-suit until it explodes. After he is out, swap to girl with full MP and use special move L+R to finish him off with one hit.

HIM: Go LEFT using all dashes then using bubbles until you reach the red warp portal. This is an autoscroller. Avoid, punch, or use laser eyes to not take damage from obstacles. Stay to the left to be able to see incoming obstacles until you see the warp pads. We want to utilize the big special move with all three PPG, so make sure you have all three by the end of Screen 3 Screen 1: Stay as close to the bottom as possible. You will reach the warp pad automatically. There is a chemical X on this path as well. Screen 2: Stay as close to the ceiling as possible. You will reach the warp pad automatically. Screen 3: This is the tricky one. First, take the hearts to heal as needed, collect ducky if desired. Then go down. Go up at the first opening, then back down below the large wall. Then back up quickly. If you see spikes at the ceiling, you made it. Follow the spikes on the ceiling until the end. Defeat HIM. Stage 1, stay below his eyes to avoid damage and punch or use laser eyes to hurt HIM. Only use laser eyes with two of the girls, allowing the third to have full mana for stage 2. When he transforms into the large head, switch to the girl that has full mana and use the R+L special move to destroy HIM in one hit.

End Scavenger Hunt: Use bubbles to fly LEFT back to Pokey Oaks. Turn in items to Ms. Keene. Timer ends when you see the heart screen.
