When starting your Pokémon Masters EX Speedrun, you want to make sure you know the game by either playing it all the way through, or watching a video tutorial. Chapter 1 is one of the easier chapters, but you need to know where the buttons are in order to continue on with a good time. You can fix up the settings to make the game faster, and what I used in order to get a sub 4:00, is I used the low graphics/detail mode button in the settings. Now you should just know where to spam. This is really the only in depth answer I will give as I have only done the speedruns for chapters 1-4. 2,3, and 4 are easy. If you know the button routes, you should be fine. THIS NEXT PART IS FOR ONLY NEW GAME+ CATEGORY AS OF JULY 15TH!!! IF ANY RUNS ARE COMPLETED WITH THE NEXT STRATEGY, PLEASE SUBMI TO NEW GAME+ There is only 1 rule that states you have to start the timer when you click on the first mission and end timer when the last mission shows the message COMPLETE or CLEARED in some other languages. Speaking of which, languages do not matter when it comes to text because all text is skippable except for text with Gary part way through Chapters 3 and 4 (I believe). Anyways, that is the only rule, which mean you are allowed to prepare before starting the first mission of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Chapters, and I’m assuming this applies for all other runnable chapters which is only up to chapter 10 as of July 11th, 2021. You can use as many exp. books as you want, and you can get them from going to the ‘Explore’ tab, and then by clicking the ‘Training Area’ tab, then on the ‘Level-Up Area’ tab. If you complete the missions in there, you can use skip tickets that you can get from a variety of different areas (Ex. Daily Missions which is the medal button on the left side of the screen when in the Pokémon center). Also, when starting a new file and completing Chapter 1, you will get 3,000 free gems to use in the sync pair recruit, which you will be shown the way to in the tutorial after Chapter 1. I was lucky enough to get a Pokémon that attacks all three opponents on the field at once (This was Cheryl and Blissey with Hyper Voice. You can also use Barry and Piplup with Bubble, Clay and Palpitoad with Bulldoze, Red and Charizard with Heat Wave, Leon and Charizard with Earthquake, Gary and Pidgeot with Air Cutter, and many more). This will give you a guaranteed great run as you are getting through battles way faster than most people who use Pokémon that attack only one Pokémon on the field at once. I will probably come out with a guide for the other chapters 5-10 in the future when I get around to speedrunning them!
