I am new to speed running, and recently discovered a run that was very interesting to run. A randomized version of the FireRed/LeafGreen games. I know its a long shot, but I was wondering what other runners thought of the idea.

A lot of runners like to race randomizers, you could probably find people who'd want to race with you. It's also quite reasonable to route and run a particular seed to get a better time on it, or to run different seeds each time. Being as it is unofficial, it wouldn't be tracked on this leaderboard, but that shouldn't stop you from running it :)

Not even as a miscellaneous category, I'm afraid. If it's a randomized run, then it's just added-in code, a hack, essentially (even if it's for the sole purpose of randomizing the game). Imagine a randomized Colosseum speed run Kappa

Understood. Thanks for the replies! I'll try to find someone to race with as well. It's a really fun run. It's really a great intro to speed running Pokémon. Might try to run a gold version randomizer as well.
