As of semi-recently mcosu ranking speedruns have become increasingly popular within the osu! community, even I have done a run myself and was wondering if the category could ever be put into the site as I would like to see some of these runs be verified. I am a huge fan of the speedrunning community and would like to see osu! more active within it, and with this mcosu category existing it would be much more common for people to submit runs as the ranking any% has been popular with many top players.
The only issue with this category is that say we were to add the 4 digit speedrun, the pp required for being 4 digit is always changing so the run will progressively get harder and longer which is completely out of our control.
I guess it would be a good idea to make it a set amount of PP as currently 5 digit runs would be about 3,750pp We could set it to where that's the constant for the run.
I think a very good idea would to make it a set amount of PP for a run like 4,000, 7,000, and 10,000 for players of different skill ranges
I think that having milestones like said above is a great idea, instead of something like 4,183. Ill look into it.
