On the IL's Against All Odds, Local Liquor Store, Small Town Bank and Tanker Commander, at the moment, the timing starts before the actual mission starts. Timing now begins on starting either First Base, First Date, Gone Courting or Made In Heaven missions.

Do we want to keep it this way, or do we want to change the timing to contain only the mission itself, instead of the preceding cutscene/mission?

Any thoughts?

Agreed. Tanker Commander etc are their own missions. I don't see why it should matter that there is another mission you start these missions from, would like to read arguments for that.

A more delicate question is can be asked aswell:

Big Smoke is just a cutscene. The actual mission (Sweet & Kendl) starts at the LS cemetery. Should Big Smoke be removed and replaced with Sweet & Kendl mission - with timing adapted?

This is in the same ballpark as Catalina's missions - except for the drive to the mission on the Catalina IL's and just skipping a cutscene on BS/S&K.

What? No. Big Smoke is the mission. Just because Rockstar added an extra text line to a cutscene doesn't mean it's a completely different mission. There is no such thing as a "Sweet & Kendl" mission. If you save the game after Big Smoke, the save file says Big Smoke.

Are there any moderators that wanna chime in on this?

The intro cutscenes on Against All Odds and Tanker Commander cannot be skipped until after the first line, which is annoying, but we can certainly retime these to start with the cutscene skip of the actual mission. I think it makes more sense that way, for sure.

Big Smoke has no need to change, though. Sweet & Kendl is not a mission, just a text line.

Due to a majority wanting the change, the rules have been updated and all runs retimed accordingly to the new rules. Unfortunately sr.com likes to bury forum posts and it seems not to have been addressed before.

Against All Odds, Local Liquor Store, Small Town Bank and Tanker Commander now all start upon entering the marker that display the mission name text.
