First off, let's talk about versions. Only the original project is allowed in runs, but you can use Turbowarp to make the game run faster. I recommend using Turbowarp because it speeds the game up to prevent lag. Make sure you have something to record your gameplay like OBS and I recommend some sort of timer like Livesplit to know if you have a PB or not.

Now, let's talk about the strategies for the levels. Speedrunners go to level 3, then 4, then 1 and finally, 2. This is done because it reduces the amount of time needed to navigate the menus. So let's talk about level 3 first. In the level, you want to hold left, release for a bit and hold again to avoid the spikes and then try to go next to the wall on the right as you are falling but don't start holding on to it or you will slow down. Hold right just before you touch the ground and then hold up and right to complete the level. If the rat hits you, don't worry. Next is level 4. Hold left immediately and hold right when you leave the platform. Go in the hole in the ship, then wait when you fall in the hole to prevent climbing. Hold right to finish the level. Next is level 1. Hold right and jump before the slope. Continue holding jump and right until the cat jumps and collects the fish. then, hold jump and left to get to the next platform. Try to let go of jump right after the cat reaches the top. If the cat jumps when you try to do this, just hold jump and left. Before reaching the wall, jump up so you climb for less time. A little bit before you reach the top, hold right instead of left. Holding jump and right should bring you to a wall of a tower. Climb the wall and let go of jump right when the cat reaches the top. Hold it again and release when the cat falls down the hole. Right after, hold it again so you land on the box. Release right when you start falling and hold it again just before the tree. You should slide down the edge of the tree. Start holding jump when the cat leaves the tree and keep holding to finish the level. Finally, we have level 2. Clear the water and jump before the slope. Keep holding jump and right. When the cat jumps, hold left to climb the wall. Start holding right when you think the cat will make it to the tree. Hold jump until the grey platform and jump on the platforms until you reach the wall. Climb the wall, then climb on the wall on the left when you can and then when the cat jumps off the platform, hold right.
