Forum: Chocobo GP Thread: Added variable for patch version Started by: |
After testing/runs, the removal of Drift Cancel from 1.1.0 was not affecting runs as much as expected, so the 1.1.0 and 1.0.5 categories were consolidated. A new column/variable for patch has been added to account for the merge. |

Added a "Current Patch" option in advance of news from the next update probably removing the "Drift Cancel" trick, along with probable magicite rebalances. This variable may change name as other patches release. |
Forum: Chocobo GP Thread: Added variable for patch version Started by: |
An additional variable for game submissions has been added for patch version - 1.0.4 or lower, or 1.0.5 (current patch). This is due to a glitch on the Gold Saucer (Long) track that allowed floating over a gap being patched, and some runners wishing to not patch their game to continue to use this glitch. If other glitches are found and patched, these variables will adjust accordingly. |

All runs that were possible to retime have now been retimed and the sorting has been switched to IGT. |
Forum: Chocobo Racing Thread: Change to IGT Timing Started by: |
Hello! You may have noticed In-Game Time (IGT) times appearing on runs as of earlier today. Mod Yarumasi and I were chatting about switching the main timing method for runs over to IGT to alleviate the issues between versions, especially with how differing loading times can be depending on what console or emulator you're using. For the Story Mode categories, IGT is the sum of the time each of the 9 tracks. |

Forum: Hanagumi Taisen Columns Thread: Does this game punish you for gaining attack power faster? Started by: MadGamer1984MadGamer1984 |
I honestly haven't done too much research on strategies for this game yet, but a few runs I've seen on youtube (or possibly niconico, I forget where I watched) by Japanese players tend to go for either a level 3 attack and have a quick chain ready to go on the next drop for a level 1 attack, and keep up with level 1 attacks, or just to try to blitz level 1 attacks. |

Can there be a background color behind the username in the top banner, since it gets impossible to see on some top banner colors? |
Forum: Silhouette Mirage Thread: Turbo variable added Started by: |
Just a note that a variable for Turbo has been added for runs of this game. This means use of turbo settings on controllers are allowed, but you must select "Yes" for the Turbo variable when submitting your run. For now runs with turbo and runs without turbo will both be shown on the board, but if a community explosion happens and a lot of people start running this game, there might need to be deeper looks into the whole usage. |
Forum: Silhouette Mirage Thread: Accepted Emulators (updated 8/2020) Started by: |
PS1: Do note that at least the US version is difficult to get running properly on emulator. The music tends to drop out, and load times may vary greatly compared to console. Console is highly preferred for US version runs. Accepted emulators: Saturn: On the other hand, the Saturn version emulates much more reliably. SSF is a good choice of emulator. |
