The screen after the one that my world record ends on is just the main menu, so I'm not entirely sure what other screen would be used to end timing lol. I'm pretty sure that's what was meant by congratulations screen though, although Gary could answer if he ever checks this. You can see what I mean by that in the 3rd place run on the leaderboard though (or at the start of my twitch highlight of my wr run)
It's adding up the time of each race, all runs require video anyway so I can calculate the IGT from any run that follows the rules
I will note that if you plan on submitting to the site, you'll need to join the discord since the forum currently isn't being updated
Yeah. If you do any runs involving new categories just submit it under 72-tracks for now and I can switch it to the correct category when I add the categories (I don't have time to add them now)
We have officially switched to In Game Time (IGT) as the primary method of timing. This also means that, for most categories, we are able to allow runs recorded with NTR, and also runs done on Citra Emulator. Improved tricks and improved brake drifting are also now allowed for all categories on custom tracks unless otherwise specified.
Please make sure to read the rules carefully in each category before submitting, as these new rules do not apply to every category.
The switch to IGT also means that some WRs have changed hands, so congrats to: xStorm (Bell Cup 9999cc WR) Doops (Egg Cup 9999cc WR) RocketMK (Fireball Cup 9999cc WR)
Most of the time categories won't be added unless there are runs of them done first
Hey! I just wanted to let all of you guys know that the speedrun.com discord server and the time trial servers have officially merged. For any of you that were in the old discord server but weren't in the time trial server, you can join the new server at https://discord.gg/fSY9ff5pau
I believe the mod who was mainly in charge of this board is inactive atm (I asked about a week ago why there wasn't any milliseconds for ILs and got no response), so I would assume that is why there are tracks missing from the leaderboard. I know nothing about this rom hack, but there probably needs to be a new mod given that i don't really know what's going on
"I look on eBay and the average price of a Wii is around 100 dollars or more. The cheaper ones, which are around $70, are often from sketchy sources or websites" I have absolutely no idea how you came to the conclusion that the average price of a wii on ebay is 100 dollars. There are multiple listings on Ebay for a wii + all the cables for under 50 dollars after shipping, and it gets down to under 30 if you already have the cables. It's completely unrelated to the overall point of what you're saying, which I feel like there could be some sort of solution found if desired (such as requiring a handcam), but you might reconsider just buying a wii. As for mario kart wii being 30-80, it's also pretty easy to find it disc only for 20 on ebay.
Sorry, got towards the end of my senior year of high school, so I've been pretty busy. I'll make sure to get on top of this
I thought bow said he had already done this lol, i'll double check. My 3ds is still having issues
Finally the change that was needed to maybe make me interested in running this game again :D. Although i still stand by the fact the psp is faster XD
Sorry for the late response, but it's easier to just say no so that we don't have to verify that all the load times for everything are the same, and i can't think of any reason why there would be a need to use ctgp-7
Yeah, I'll update it once i can actually get my ctgp-7 updated to look through it without restrictions, i've just been having updating issues just to internet issues
I'll do the opposite and say that there is already a known glitch there by clipping the fence before the pipe :)
Splitting categories on every update just isn't a good thing to do. I might add a visible variable showing the versions like how ctgp wii has it though
