  • Dart Level 60
  • 99% (Everything but maxed out levels)

~ Dart Lv 30 & 60 ~

  • I expect these categories to become very popular. How to participate? There is a save file you can download containing both of these on the same Memory Card to use in ePSXe emulator (which can also be found in the resource section). You start off with Dart in Hellena Prison at either level 30 or 60 with maxed out additions. Your other party members will be the same level as usual (meaning only Dart is strong). This is obviously a fun category, but the emulator of use must be ePSXe 1.9.0 to keep a fair game for emulator users. You are also allowed to play on console if you happen to have a save file for that.

~ 99% ~ This will be a category for those who are crazy enough to want to get all of the repeatable items, equipment, stardusts, dragoon magic, additions & goods in the game. The only thing not being done is leveling up to 60 with every character. A tutorial/guide will be created for this category very soon. I will upload it very soon. Should be available in December (2020).

All these categories will be available to everyone. Meaning emulator is allowed, however no turbo controller for these categories as it is not really necessary and to keep the addition's strength valuable throughout the playthroughs.

I just came in my pants reading this. Thank you, all powerful Deathtome.

Texas, USA

That's awesome.

Let me know if you guys come up with a "No Damage Item" route. I'd love to do an entire run of just additions. I imagine it'd be an Albert route.

Antarctica

Definetly sounds interesting to not include throwable magic items in a speedrun. Probably will happen some day if someone picks it up. I would run it if someone else does first. So a category would then be created. Otherwise the JP version exists where you barely use magic since it's weaker than additions.

Antarctica

Unforunetly it's for full runs, but you can definetly do it for fun on the side in segments for yourself if you don't have the possibility to play the whole game at once. It's definetly shorter. Especially the LV 60 one. I have routed through to Disc 3 already for LV 30, and LV 60 won't really need a guide but can use the LV 30 as reference if needed to know when to buy charm potions. :)

Antarctica

Fixed the Level 30/60 (routed for LV 30 but can be used as a template for 60 runs as well). The only difference would be that 60 wouldn't need to use magic items as much and mainly just need Blazing Dynamo on the bosses until Disc 4. Only places would be multiple enemies like Ghost Knights and minor battles with multiple enemies. In those cases you could throw a spell at 100% (non mashing) to kill.

Definetly fun, but not so easy once you reach Disc 4 as you would hope. At least you got one extra party member compared to normal runs.

Will update some old routes. I know what's wrong with some of them and I can implement the newly improved strategies into them soon. There is a new Melbu Frahma strategy which involves getting low HP on Haschel during first phase before going all-in with the boosters. I will make an in-depth tutorial with voice-over on my own play one day. An interesting idea popped up. Speeding up Haschel instead of Miranda while he's low on HP is the way to go I think. RoloTony was first out to try the new strategy for me with success. We use Dancer's Ring instead of Magical Ring.

Here is Jimmy's best attempt so far after a few kills with the new strategies. 15-16 minute Melbu Frahma fights!
