Hi all; I'm a complete noob on this website so could I have some help? I have an idea for a new run called "Cappyless". I'm doing some playthroughs by myself to see if it's possible, to work out the rules, and so forth. Is there a way that I can create that or would a Mod have to do it?
EDIT: I'm now discussing "Minimal Cappy" instead.
I don't want to announce how just yet, but there IS a way to beat the game without using 2P that will register 0 Cappy throws.
@Jarhead_71 Ha! I have a secret... Anyways, if I run the new category, will I have to record it? My school schedule doesn't let me play for more than an hour at a time, so could I record a segmented run?
Segmented runs give you much more of a disadvantage over RTA runs and are universally banned on all leader boards.
@conmangamer22 If you're sure... I should have a 2-hour (or so) run sometime later. In the meantime, I'll try to provide a teaser image about what I'm talkin' about.
This sounds crazy, but idk how it's possible? You have to capture a certain amount of times, and using low captures requires a lot of cappy dives. Excited to see how this works out.
@Scientific_Guy you could do a segmented run to show off what you are talking about, but it wouldn’t count as a run
@Wipeoutjack7 I'll probably do that. Okay, I just finished my own version of the run for the second time, and here's what I got: the first time, I got 52 throws. The second time, I got 112. In trying to figure out why it was 112 rather than 0, I realized that my technique will not work really early on in the game. That said, this has become a "Minimal Cappy" run idea. I'm going to keep experimenting to try to get the smallest throws possible.
EDIT: Just wondering, once I get the technique down, would someone be willing to record a full run for me if you credit me as the brains behind it?
