Hey guys, I'm new to speedrunning RE4. I really sucked at New Game Pro, and even though I really enjoyed it, I never came close to submitting a run. While working on a NG+ file I decided to run RE4 all the way through on normal difficulty with only the infinite rocket launcher. I enjoyed running the game this way so much, I wanted to try to get it its own category on the leader board. The idea is that you run the game on a NG+ file with only an infinite rocket launcher in the inventory using only it and health items you pick up. Just a speedrun I found to be fun. Any response would be highly appreciated. Thanks

For anyone who sees this I talked to WheatThin already. This won't be a thing because we already have excess of categories and we already have NG+. Doesn't mean you can't do what you want, just not everything belongs on the boards is all

By all means, keep playing that category if you have fun doing it. Heck, I might even join you for races of it. But along the lines of what TheCarpenter said, categories need to be well established and have numerous people competing in the, for them to be considered a serious category. Like, for example, there has been a number of runners playing the No Merchant category recently. Currently it is still in the Miscellaneous subcategory, but potentially, if there is enough interest and there are enough runners, it could potentially become a new main category.
