As of version 3.9.6b, Notoriety devs have added a function within the settings menu to turn off Safe Escape (removing the 3s timer) and enable the Speedrun Timer (which includes milliseconds). This is objectively the best way to measure runs, now, and importantly, isn't affected by Timer Glitch.

As of this newspost, we've reset the leaderboards by moving all runs to the Old version and enabled millisecond timing. Rules have been updated to specify the use of both of these. Runs that don't use both will be rejected. New world records are available, now featuring far closer competition - go wild!

Some of you might be aware that there is a timer glitch, where the timer doesn't start until the difficulty screen at the start of a heist fully fades away, but you're still able to move. Unfortunately, all runs done while the timer glitch was active had to be rejected, until the glitch got semi-fixed a day later.

Turns out the glitch still exists, but instead of being 5-6 seconds of delay it's just 1 second (For most maps), I recommend you don't post any runs right now until the glitch is fully fixed.

As you might already know, Notoriety got re-released today, we'll be inspecting the game and every heist to see which changes were made & to see if they affect speedrunning gameplay enough to warrant moving that heist's leaderboards to the old versions.

Two heists (Blood Money and RO-Bank) got removed, so we'll probably archive them.

In the meanwhile, have fun speedrunning the new heist "The Depot"!
