Hello! Im looking into getting a goldeneye cartridge, whats the best region cart (ntsc-u or ntsc-j) also i heard i need to look out for a certain version (1.0 - 1.1?)

To start, you can use the NTSC-U or PAL Versions. NTSC-J has slightly stronger auto-aim and all body armors exist on Secret/00 Agent, but you wont be able to read anything.

There is no known speedrunning significance to version number 1.0 or 1.1

At the highest level, the stages Train and Jungle are most optimally played on the PAL version. These are the only two levels in which PAL is recognized as the fully optimal version for speedruns.
