Final second barrier! This run ties the L+R TAS into 8-4, meaning there are no framerules left to be saved. This run means so much to me for a variety of reasons. I started playing this game around the time I had a 4:56.878 in SMB1 Any%, and practicing FPG in this game made me a lot better at regular FPG pole inputs in SMB1. I remember thinking this game wouldn't even get to 3:39, until I implemented 1-2 clip and other FPGs and got 3:38. After my 3:38.357, I expected this game's second barrier to never improve past that, and the only way 3:37 was possible was by tying the no L+R TAS's 8-4. That is, until SMBistic found that the extra 1-2 framerule that we all thought was humanly impossible was possible without L+R by doing the wall clip in a different and quicker way. It was from that day forward I told myself I was gonna make 3:37 happen. And now, after about a month of on and off grinding, I am extremely ecstatic to be able to say that it has been done! The 8-4 room breakdown was A>8>8(73)>I.
