Greetings, I'm this board's new moderator.

I went ahead and took the position due to the previous moderator's long term inactivity. This way we'll have at least someone handling verification, even if not incredibly fast (not that there is a huge amount of activity). Feel free to dm me on Discord if I haven't checked in for a while and you have a pending run.

I'll also be adding variety to the speedrun categories, as some here have requested. I strongly encourage discussion on new category ideas, and I'll take a closer look into their feasibility in the coming days. If the best theoretical way for completing a category's end goal takes, say, 20+ hours, the category probably isn't a very good one. However, if such a long category would end up as popular, I'll gladly add it.

This leads to a question: how many required runners do people think is appropiate for adding a new category? Since Dwarf Fortress only has self-imposed goals, I think it's ok to add any category that seems sufficiently interesting, but I doubt anyone wants the board to become a bloated mess with dozens of categories with two or three runners in each.

In the meantime, do record some test runs if you wish. Even if the category you wish to exist doesn't get added right away, it may get added in the future if it gains popularity.
