I was just wondering what happened to ENOOPS WR, it's stated on Guinness World Records as being 3.8 seconds, but it's not here. Can anyone clarify this?

A player called ENOOPS is in the speedrun.com section of gwr 2021 with a 3.8 second 25 hops run, but ENOOPS isnt on any leaderboards here

Well actually he is, but he isnt first place on the leaderboard so he shouldnt be first place in the book

He sped up his run and hacked in coins and whn we confronted him, he deleted it.

Basically when Speedrun.com was partnered with them, you could get to the top of the leaderboard, take a screenshot and send it to Guinness. So I reckon he got to the top, but by the time his run was deleted Guinness had already registered him as the world record holder.

I'm not sure who verified it originally. We have had mods who didn't check times. The cheating was somewhat subtle and an untrained eye wouldn't have spotted it. The player had nothing to do with Guiness and Crossy Road on SRC never has, but one of our players and mods, Ronnie Weston, did get into an issue half a decade ago. Proof standards were pretty lax before this game hit its peak in popularity. Nowadays, we would be able to catch a cheated run like that, and we have.

I emailed Guinness Today to see if they will correct it, seeing as it is still wrong.

Guiness should stay out of gaming unless it is a massive thing
