I'm just call the category split Death Abuse and No Death Abuse so that people can understand what the trick is a little better

I actually only use KB but yea in order to get the fastest shooting you need to be spamming two separate buttons so it doesn't even make sense to map two shoot buttons to one input also that method sounds like the idea of using your palm to spin the control stick in mario party games. There was a reason why those sort of minigames don't exist in mario party anymore.

while we're on the subject of tricks that should be used more often: You can jump over the thwomp just before key 4 with precise double jumps. You still need to hit all three switches but it definitely makes it faster.

I'll put it up to a vote if you guys want. I ultimately don't see the point of it since it would be more work than it's worth for me to switch over (having to find the in game time for all the submitted runs and submitting them individually). If i do switch over to igt there's also the question of do i keep old runs that don't use igt because it didn't exist yet.

frame rule just means what frame we decide defines the start and end of the run, doing the frame when the exclamaion point disappears does seem like the better solution so i adopted that. The ones I just accepted, I changed the times slightly in order to follow this rule.

fade to black is a very common usage of splits. I can't rely on trust you splitting on the exact same frame as you hitting the button. That method would not account for human error or just straight up lying. I think I'm probably also gonna change to fade to black on the start as well. It just makes sense to me. Unless you can come up with a better idea this is probably what I'm going with. Shouldn't cause too much change in the times and I'm going to adjust all runs accordingly so it should be fine.

Also want to make the note that I would rather not allow milliseconds for any% but there is no way to allow milliseconds for individual categories. So until there is I will simply clip off any milliseconds that are submitted.

As for the new category, I think might I need to enlist another verifier enlisted as it's recently getting harder to do this on my own.

Now that we have debated the frame rule should be a thing I wanna move to a more clear end timing method so that I can properly time the ends. I suggest once we get a full fade to black. I will adjust all things accordingly but I wanted to notify everyone so that people could adjust for future runs.

yea he made the server so he probably deleted it. If there's a big enough community then I guess I'll make one but right now, most people that played have left it. I may come back to it but it's not likely.

So it's been updated for about a week and no one has submitted for the new board yet. This is getting boring about to set records for a game that I suck at.

I will look into this when I can, life has gotten in the way lately so I haven't had a chance to play since 2.0 came around.

sure, I did that originally because I thought it was festive to eat the cake but yea that makes more sense.

I never considered deathless to be a category since an optimized any% deathless is just an any% run. (same goes for 100%)
