Might I recommend removing the sticky on White’s “How to Submit a Run” thread? It’s years old now and what it describes doesn’t really reflect the current state of the LBs. It might be confusing for new people who wind up here since they’ll have conflicting rules.
Reporting a user through a button would be abused like crazy and would cause more headaches for staff than anything else. In a case like this, it’s better off messaging the full mods on say discord and letting them know so they can deal with it accordingly.
Hello, welcome.
Sometimes games have external sites where they have runs or other content but that depends on the game. Also, https://tasvideos.org is what you’re looking for for TASing.
Can confirm https://www.speedrun.com/user/Wholesome02 is a ban evader
Ask the mods of the game how to record the inputs and generate the file.
The first step is to not necro a year old thread that has nothing to do with your question.
The second step is to ask the mods of the game to add the category. I would have a recorded run of yours to show them when you request it (having a run gives more merit to a category request). You can post in the forums for that game or message the mods directly on social media about it.

Nonsensical post + only social media link is a website. At least warrants a check
What Komrade said.
Some examples - For N64, VC is usually faster because it tends to have less lag and can run at a higher FPS than actual N64 carts (or accurate emulators). For NES games, it can be slower than an actual NES or an accurate emulator since VC doesn’t quite reach the 60.09 FPS like an actual NES iirc.
Yeah. While the NES Classic is essentially the same as VC, those platforms are not classified as emulators on most LBs. When I said emulator I meant one like Nestopia or whatever (the 3rd party ones).
In the case of the NES, the third party ones are closer to the same speed as an actual NES than the Classic hence why it’s a better choice (both suffer the same input delay fwiw)
What you’re asking for is called No Wrong Warp and is on the main OOT boards https://www.speedrun.com/oot#No_Wrong_Warp
Although this still has a variation of Void Warp (but I find it significantly easier), you can always omit it and it won’t cost you too much time.
Hard to say, everyone has their preferred way to capture HDMI. Elgato, Avermedia, even Razer all have HDMI capture cards and there’s other brands too. Each person will have their preference, though an internal is the best way to go because internal PCI cards won’t have as much delay as an external over USB.
Look around, get some opinions, read some articles, etc. and find out which card seems like the best for you. Everyone has their own opinions on which they prefer.
Video ads are horrible and you should always block them. The fractions of pennies streamers get from ads just isn’t worth it. This is a stupid change and makes no sense other than Twitch trying to pad their bottom line at the expense of users.
That’s a known issue with some users. I don’t know if there’s any solution yet, in the past someone like Pac has had to go in and fix it.
There’s also about a hundred (exaggeration) tutorials for Livesplit on YouTube. They can all be helpful as they’ll provide visual examples of where to go to set things up.
Don’t follow the rules, don’t approve the run. Don’t know how you could even consider any other options. Rules aren’t made to be bent or broken.
What? OBS is multi platform, it works on Windows, Mac or Linux.
On the very front page of the OBS website it gives you the downloads for all 3 operating systems. I’m not sure where you tried to download it from that didn’t give Mac, but it must not have been the official site.
The entire Kimgdom Hearts series is available for PS4 in 2 collections and most categories are only a few hours, with some even as low as 50 minutes.
Pretty much any SNES RPG will be 4-5 hours or less as well, so that’s a whole lotta games to pick from.
