A "Patched Glitched" tab has been added under each of the run categories due to some of the semi-recent updates to Lumber Tycoon 2 patching out some of the more powerful glitches that runners used to decrease their times in glitched runs. Most of the runs that have already been done that we check and find glitches that have since been patched will be moved to these tabs in order to keep the top leaderboards of each categories glitched tab open to anyone who still wants to do a present day run, rather than forever stay behind flex's unbeatable 1:32 glitched green box run. If we miss a run that used a powerful patched glitch, or know of a glitch that has since been patched, feel free to let us know! If you have opinions about this change, feel free to express them as well.
Apologies for responding to this so late, the run was not deleted even though the category was and you can still find it here: https://www.speedrun.com/roblox_lt2/run/y6xw0rpy, but I didn't realize that speedrun.com had hidden your run and gave it the obsolete tag as both of you, in0_ and GreenSprite, had already done another faster run in the same category. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about removing the obsolete tag even though it technically isn't without adding a VR section, which is something I'd still not like to do despite my brash action to a while ago, mostly because the section cannot be added to just one category, it propagates through each of the others as well. Once again if there is a big push of runners that would like to play each category in VR it can still be added, but for now we don't want empty sections that are probably going to stay empty. Also, although out of the way runs labeled obsolete by speedrun.com can be seen by going to the filters tab and selecting 'show all' under the 'Obsolete runs' section.
Your run was not for nothing as it was just changed to the glitched category, but you should probably re-consider attempting such long tasks and expecting the result you want without confirming it's an option ahead of time first. I apologize for originally creating the run type and just removing it afterwards, but that action was 'unwarranted' if that's a good term, as it's unlikely anyone will do the same run type ever again. I could bring back this run type again if enough interest and action was taken about it from other members than just your group though, I honestly thought you guys would submit some more runs of this type which would help warrant it's existence but when you didn't for around a week I realized my mistake.
Run type has been deleted, run was accepted and moved to the glitched category however, I apologize for any inconvenience. I have decided that for a new category to be made, enough interest has to be shown and at least 2 runs of one must be submitted to me (to show the category will have more than a couple runs over the years it'll exist), and for a run type like this to be added at least 1 would have to be done for each category.
The VR Run type has been created. The participation in speedrunning this game isn't that big.

Hey Wild, I am a bit confused, did you mean remove your current glitchless record? If so, I can just move the glitchless record in question to the glitched category, but if I were to remove your glitched record you'd just be replacing it with a worse time even though that was a valid run.
I did so because the glitch used (using the shift lock clip) was a rather minor glitch that's existed in the game forever and I beleive is just kind of a Roblox in general bug with shift lock. It only saved them some walking time so I just added back the time they saved and kept it glitchless as not to invalidate the effort put into not using any other glitches that could have saved time the rest of the run.
Hello everyone, After consideration of the fact that, in the multiplayer sub-categories of the green box speed run, with only one player being required to obtain the box to complete the run and the other completely pointless, we have decided to adjust the rules of the sub-categories to both players need to obtain the box. The original purpose of making it one player was if there were strategies that would require teamwork and co-operation to make one player complete the run faster than just solo, but no strategies of the sort seem to be more powerful than the players just heading straight for it immediately. Unfortunately, this will mean that the previous runs of the sub-categories will be no longer valid to those categories, but those that did not directly use the assistance of the other player will be moved to the solo sub-category of the green box speedrun.
On another note as it has been questioned, Roblox fps unlockers will be allowed to be used in all speed runs under the justification of glitches being unintentional game bugs in the first place, as those are what the unlockers make slightly easier, they shouldn't have much of any effect on glitchless runs other than making the game nicer to play, and most modern pcs other than laptops without gpus should be able to run Roblox Lumber Tycoon 2 above 60 fps.
danli, I apologize for responding quite late as I don't receive emails for threads but your run was changed to the glitched category because you used a glitch with one of your axes on the taiga peak to climb up a wall. It didn't end up being very successful for you in the end but you did still use it and never ended up crossing the thin bridge.
Sounds good, as long as people are willing to run it.
Hello everyone, I have seen more reason to add Glitched and Glitchless sub-categories to the Rukiryaxe speedrun, as Glitched runs do give quite an advantage over glitchless runs and are used quite often even in normal gameplay these days due to the fact that the developer of the game is no longer motivated to patch almost any of them.
This means that runs that utilize any glitch or bug that is an unintended part of the design of the game will be separated from those that don't use any. Unfortunately this does mean that any existing runs that used any even briefly will be sorted into the glitched sub-category.
What is considered a glitch in Lumber Tycoon 2?
- Moving your sawmill in order to move a log within it, and then pressing back to glitch the log into the sawmill
- Using a blueprint to rotate any objects, like your vehicle
- Any glitch that allows you to fly through the air or move vertically.
- Any glitch that allows you to move faster than you should be.
- Any glitch that is obviously a glitch via common sense
What is not considered a glitch in Lumber Tycoon 2?
- All intended game features
- Long planks by setting the sawmill plank height very small
- Resetting your character or reloading your slot in order to teleport back to your base
Hello tarr, I apologize for the late response, but I have considered separating the solo Rukiryaxe speedrun category into glitch and glitches subcategories, but there hasn't seen to be much demand for that yet. The game is full of bugs that can be 'exploited' because the Developer does not have much interestin patching them anymore, but the term exploits used in the rules is the noun form of the word, meaning "a software tool designed to take advantage of a flaw in a computer system, typically for malicious purposes such as installing malware."
There are some bugs that just allow you to fly by walking on a glass pane as well, which if someone wanted to use it in a speedrun, would definitely need to be seperated from the fully legit ones. The only downside to this split however would be that all the existing runs that even only use very minor glitches would need to be placed in the glitches category.
I am interested in what you mean by the base reload tree drag glitch, I haven't heard of it before. As for the car flip trick with a blueprint, thats completely allowed.
