Maybe have a category for with and without invasions as well, so they arent all done in flunky invasions
That's acceptable? I thought the whole point of the timer was to make sure it wasn't sped up.
Am I missing something here, or why was this run accepted without a timer? http://www.speedrun.com/run/zgnwedvy
I was curious, if you get a really good solo can you count is as a co-op run as well? Since obviously only a mod could decide for sure do the rest of you think we should be able to?
If they do that they might as well finish it off with just about everything else you could do, 1-5 story buildings, and golf courses should be pretty much it.
Do you think it becomes co-op if youre standing in front of a building and a toon runs by and you ask for them to help you with it?
So for the playgrounds it says the runs end when talking to the shopkeeper for the last time, do you have to click through all the text before stopping the timer, or is it done once the text appears? Because I've seen people do both.
@Sparkpin None of the runs done so far have toons far enough to use unites on themselves anyway, I meant if someone else used it for them
I don't think TTOff runs should be the same category, they should definitely be separate
I mean to be fair you basically asked for invasions and jellybeans and stuff and imo I think that should make it co-op but obviously its the mods decision.
@Barks1 I probably could beat the solo times by hopping on another toon and summoning invasions but that doesn't seem like a solo to me anymore. The Brrgh isnt really relevant since no one has even done a speedrun for it yet. Also, "directly working with another person through text/voice chat is not allowed." so your run should not count as solo.
Then why are you counting your runs where all your followers are helping you as co-op? @Megasnoop
Yeah even if no one visibly helps you when you're stream it would be too much of a coincidence if you just get "lucky" with invasions.
I think doodles are fine, you could get your own doodle for any run (not practical for ttc) some people tooned me up during my speed run too but I didn't need it. I'm just saying if the unite gives a big advantage it should count as co-op, if it was for jbs and your jar was full (or maybe pretty close) then it would still count as solo.
I know people were talking about how if you stream it should count as a co-op but another good rule I think is if a unite gives you an advantage (jbs if your bank isnt full, gags if you need them, and laff if you need it) it should be a co-op. Cause a solo toon would have to ride the trolley or fish to get beans then go to the gag shop, but with a unite another toon could skip one or both of those steps. Same for getting laff.
But if you do only welcome valley how does it work for later playgrounds?
I agree with this, and off the new rule that was added "directly working with another person through text/voice chat is not allowed." Megasnoop's DD/DG speedruns should be co-op because he directly tells people on his stream what to do.
