This doesn't really matter anymore, anyone who cares to speedrun the game is just using the speedrunners copy leaderboards now since this one is too poorly moderated and the timing rules for CA are disliked by the runners of it.
Timing should start when you press start inside Candy's Adventure instead of when you click the minigame. This removes loading times and would also allow people to actually use the speedrunning mod for the game that allows you to do faster resets and use save states for practicing.
I just think it could be interesting to see how speedruns of the levels would be if a SS Rank was required considering it would involve trying to get enough time bonus while not slowing down the run by overly killing enemies or taking a slower route for some time bonus. Though there is the issue of it possibly just barely changing the run making it pointless.
