Ingenuity, creativity, a fairly deep knowledge of how the game works, and a helluva lot of willingness to try a bunch of things that won't work.
Might want to take this to the game forum so someone who knows and cares about the game can see this. Here you're just gonna get a bunch of regular joe's from other games.
Just an FYI, most of the people who see this won't know the game and won't care. If you go post in the forum for the game, you'd have much better luck with getting in touch with the community.
What is with you people who necro 2 year old threads for only vaguely related questions?
Actually caught one before Oreo or Taru https://www.speedrun.com/user/moaiz95
Well I've seen people delete their post but that's the first time I've seen them just edit their message to be empty. Congratulations, you've shown me something new.
You'd have better luck asking in the SMB1 forum.
Uh, dude. Pac is not responsible for the creation of these categories or their rules. That's all with GWR.
The Alpha and Beta builds for A Hat In Time are on the site. Not sure if that counts as a demo but it's all I'm aware of.
No. That's only a requirement for requesting a new game.
Do you have a configuration to automatically delete browser cookies? That's the only thing I could think of that would be causing this unless this is a site configuration.
There are games that either don't require video proof (don't have an example of this) or only require video proof under a certain time / at a certain height of the leaderboard (Super Mario 63 does this) I think there are some games that use in-game-time where you can just post a screenshot/picture of the end screen with your final time but don't quote me on that.
Is it just me or are we getting a ridiculous number of people coming in lately and asking a question phrased like this?
This depends on the rules the community has set. Check the rules for the category you're submitting to for details on how to time the run.
There's no specific configuration to allow or deny this. It's just based on the rules the community sets. So if you say runs with no video are acceptable, then people are able to submit them and you will be able to accept them.
