As for Pigs in Space, my best time is now down to 59s800ms, but I believe I could take 3 more seconds off if all went perfect - and wouldn't be surprized if someone can do it in around 50-55 secs.
Jay cool. My slowrun also consisted of numerous continues... and actually, as I had not played that game for so long, it felt like it was a speedrun to me. I just had not practised!.
I'm sure this has been discussed many times.
I've just played a game that my eyes had not seen for perhaps 15-18 years. It took me about two hours to complete, and the leaderbord for this game shows results ranging from 24 minutes to just over half an hour.
Is it okay to submit slow runs as well?
Yes I've seen slow runs on several leaderboards, I suppose accepting slowruns may be up to moderators to accept and list or not to.
The 21m35s was accepted as 21m07s, as time bonus time is deducted for this game. I've just finished Sonic in 20m49s, or 20m21s deducting again 28 time bonus time seconds.
I'm capable of making it just under 20 minutes, bringing me to #20 in the ranking, perhaps - no certainly! - I can do even better, I just need to learn some of the controls betta!
21m35s now. -8 seconds, still 23rd.
Ckelly, good luck with the game!
I've beaten this game looots of time when I was a kid, so it remains fairly easy to get it goin'.
My runs for Sonic still need to be accepted though, but I went for the first place at this game Muppets: Pigs in Space on the Atari 2600 https://www.speedrun.com/mpis/run/yj1r3joy
My glorious run:
Yesterday another run to #28, and I've just smashed it in 22m47s!!!! #26 #26 #26 #26!!!!
Thanks! I've just re-played the game and can already submit my run to replace the existing #30 positing, JAAAAY!!
Hi all,
Watched the history of SMB1 NES world records the other day, I'm sure I can enter the top 30 for Sonic the Hedgehog on the SMS.
I've just played it in 29m30s and I'm just ambitious enough to want to make it to the end of the top 30 for this game. Time to beat: 28m33s!
