I would think about getting into HSV Adventure Racing, it's the version of the game I know and love.

I bought Beetle Adventure Racing when I saw it cheap just to see what the difference was like, and I was put off by the commentator right away. The Aussie one on HSV Adventure Racing is WAY better!

Even though I'm just about convinced it's the same bloke just putting on an accent.

That could work out though, I see myself more doing individual levels than whole game runs.

OK cool, so the in game timer doesn't actually run slower like it does in some games like Mario Kart and Wave Race.

If so I'll get into a bit of Snowboard Kids 1 and 2 at some point down the road.

I'll stick to real hardware instead of emulator 😼

As that requires at least 2 people to last the rest of time. I've seen a game go around 10 minutes, just wondering what the record might be?

It's mostly because we now have 2 new active mods.

So possibly times that were submitted weren't actually put up.

Now, sometimes your run is accepted within a few hours, it's great!

Hey just a quick question, does everyone use the full on speed characters (Wavy Davy and Robby Woody) on every course or just the easy ones?

Haven't played in a few years and found Wavy Davy very frustrating on the harder levels, where in Wave Race 64 he's at least tolerable on the harder levels.

I usually play at my best with Serena or Nigel.

Are there lesser known advanced techniques out there?

Yeah I think I mostly used Sarah when I played, I was good enough to unlock the hill climb and everything else and get a win on every track on the hardest difficulty but I was thinking people might use Nigel or Bobby for time trials much like the Dave Mariner (Wavy Davy) of Wave Race.

What characters do people use for time trials? Does it ever change depending on the level?
