Look at it this way, if you get a run that's, say, 45 minutes and 40 seconds, you'd still say it was "a 45" (or at least all of the games' communities I've come across do), so look at it the same way with seconds/ms
Then you should probably have example runs of each segment, or at least a few of them I guess. iirc, lifting the YT 15min limit just needs a verified email address.
I went ahead and did it https://discord.gg/szRrrDC
I had a similar thought, but to be fair I think it's just the 4 or 5 of us who actually run the game lol. But yeah I'm definitely not against the idea.
I wasn't suggesting you were using sneaky tricks haha
I think RTA timing is still the best method for that though, assuing the goal is still to finish the race in the shortest amount of actual tme. You could start timing the moment you can move and end the moment you cross the finish line, for instance.

first forum post seems legit but second is highy suspicious
It will vary from game to game whether emulators are preferred, or even allowed. The best place to check would be the game''s forum, rules or guides page, which you can find on the left hand side of every leaderboard :~) I think most "serious" SM64, Zelda etc runners will use an actual console (in which case you would need a capture card) but I don't have any experience in that community myself.
Welcome aboard anyway, I've always got respect for anyone that can build their own computer :)
I keep meaning to look into Turning Point: Fall Of Liberty. I know there's a few OOB you can do but I don't know how useful it would be
I'm not 100% sure this isn't a joke-track, but if it is he's making fun of his own style so it's up in the air lol. I really like it though, sometimes you just need a bit of noise.
As a supplementary comment, as far as I can see there is no SR50 on the 360 port, or if there is it is significantly harder to do than on PC, so at least having its own platform would make sense
As above :) Welcome aboard and good luck with future runs!
I've done a few runs on the 360 port, trying to SR40 with a stick is pretty rough, for me anyway. Really wish you could re-map the buttons like yu can in the Quake 2 port :/
I just didn't fill in the platform field and noted that it was the 360 in the submission comments
I've never had a claim from uploading game footage, but I do usually get claims from the music I put on top of the footage lol. I don't monetize my gaming videos so it's not an issue. (I do monetize my music channel since I own all the copyrights, I've made about $5 in 4 years....)
59:12 is the longest I've done, brought that run down to 46:43 now though. I dont really have the patience to do runs that last too much longer than an hour
I always enjoy 100% runs for collectathons - Mario, Spyro Banjo etc, unless they're stupidly long
