Hanzo is probably not the best speedrunning character but I chose him since I was not familiar enough with the other ninjas. Although his attacks are short range and his jump attack is pretty awful, he can attack rapidly and his dash attack has a better hit box and moves further than the dash of the other ninjas. His magic has very long animations so it's a waste to use it on most bosses.
