Here are a couple of things you'll need to know whenever you start running.
- Assuming that you are not speedrunning from your first time opening the game you might have some other power ups unlocked. In order to make it to where the only power up drop is soap first locate the SHOWERDAD file in your computer to do this goto: C:\Users<your name>\Appdata\Roaming\MMFApplications\Showerdad.ini
Your Appdata folder might be hidden, however if you type the above address into your program bar you will be able to go to the folder regardless of whether or not it is hidden. Obviously replace <your name> with the respective user on your computer.
once there open the SHOWERDAD.ini and change the value of PUP to 0, PUP stands for Power Ups and by changing it to 0 you will unlock only the soap (At -1 you will have no powerups I am unsure why the devs set soap to 0) Another value you should change is your GamesPlayed to 0, after 7 games you will unlock the next power-up so keep this folder open and save over it every time you unlock the razor. YOU DO NOT NEED TO RELAUNCH. I am unsure at the time what the rest of the values do, but do not change the FOUND_REAL_DAD=FALSE to true, this will softlock your game.

Note that the hitboxes for the dads are very weird, I would recommend going in front of the dads instead of behind because the hitboxes behind are much closer than the ones in front. Please note that the hitboxes are roughly "Head to chest" meaning that if the child's head touches the p¤nis then it doesn't count, to the point of the child's eyes touch the p¤nis it will count. It is much easier to just aim the child's head towards the dad's chest.

Of course it is faster to move diagonal than side to side or up and down.

Try to stay in motion, this will just help your reaction speeds.

Currently there is no "blackless category" so the best dad/son pick would be Richard and Lefty. It is visually easier to distinguish the black duo from the white ones because there are 2 white duos and 1 black one. A higher contrast with help your reaction when searching for your dad.

the "PP-Slide" is currently being tested and added into runs in order to lower times, this is a risky technique where you use the puddles to "slide" across the map. The slip animation is currently the fastest form of movement in game, however you do not have control over your character hence the risk.

Don't be afraid to reset if: Your soap doesn't spawn early enough, your dad's placement is too far apart, YOU TRIP OVER A WET FLOOR SIGN (automatic reset impossible to get WR)
