Thanks to Monka for discovering the best method of almost always guaranteeing the Ann teleport. Walk forward (NOT diagonally) until the first moment you're able to throw the spear, then immediately stop moving. If you hear Ann say the plateau line and a gator roar during the swimming section, you did it right and the teleport will almost always work.

The other thing I did differently was I carried another fire spear into the water so I could throw it at the bushes under the bat as soon as possible. Kill the three scorpions and the bat before the fire burns out. As far as I can tell, doing this will skip the "UP THERE, LOOK OUT" line that spawns in three more scorpions that block Ann.

There's a few seconds that can be saved for sure, but sub 2:20 Scorpions is pretty exciting for me personally, lmao.
