Potential Unmanipulated Sewers Strategy? -- For races and such

There's a reason Sewers is manipulated. It's ridiculously hard for no reason. Other than extended gameplay time, of course.

Step 1. Grind to level 3 - This part could be really quick or really terrible. Once you equip your weapon and armor and get the key from Pirkle, walk around outside until you find literally anything to fight. Make sure, though, that you stick to anywhere south of the chaos theater, and outside of burglin park. This area is where the survivable enemies spawn. ;) - Anything is acceptable to fight at level 1, death is uncommon here, but don't take any Peer Pressure Puppets (the Handsome Tom looking things) because they always take 2 hits to kill, have ridiculous speed, and offer no reward. But if you get one with another enemy like a Kid-eating Dinosaur then it's worth. - If you like, you can take the money you've obtained and buy a few hamburgers from the dept store. There's one likely-mandatory fight you may want to have healing items for, just in case.

Step 2. Grind to level 5 - The grind to level 3 in Twoson makes it to where you can actually fight the enemies in the first part of sewers and survive, most of the time. Sometimes they'll just kill you anyway. - Fight anything you can as you progress through sewers until you reach level 5. The Hippies are the most dangerous enemy though, so beware.

Step 3. Good luck - Once you're level 5, you'll vitality up to 45 HP which helps you survive longer in deadly encounters. - The next area of sewers is terrifying. The enemies here aren't terrible by themselves, but they can encounter you with as many as 4 at once, it's ridiculous. The best way to get through this next area that I can find is as follows: - Go back through the door as if you're trying to leave, and mash until the room resets. You'll want to do this repeatedly until there are no enemies. - Make your way down the ladder and to the right. In the area by the present, enemies can spawn. If you see a ?, immediately turn back and respawn the area until there are no more because they will walk through walls, encounter you, and drag anything else up there down the ladder into the fight with it. - Watch out for single hippies or whatever at the beginning of the narrow hallway. It's uncommon, but it happens. - In the next big area, stutter step so you can walk slowly for better reaction time. If you see anything at all, gun it back. You can survive with one enemy or maybe two, just bash bash bash, but you really don't want any encounters at all. - The room with the trash can is the final room, the room with the most-likely-mandatory encounter with usually 4 enemies. Immediately press B upon entering the room, and evaluate the situation. A few things can happen, that I've seen: a. 4 enemies. In this situation, try and greenswirl the closest enemy that looks like you can back attack it. Don't feel bad if it doesn't work, because it probably won't, but it's not impossible by any means. b. 2 enemies (Usually 2 hippies). Uncommon, but not outside the realm of possibility. Try and juke them by trapping them on the trash can and running around it. If it doesn't seem possible, go for the greenswirl. c. No enemies. Super rare, super lucky if it happens. You're home free. - If you get into the battle here, you're probably screwed to navigate the area again. Try and take out the enemies in this order: Hippies, Roaches, Evil Ectos. It all depends on whether they attack you, you miss or waste a turn, or they make you not move for a turn. You can also try taking out the Hippie and running, this might work as well.

That's how ridiculously difficult the early game for this hack can be, and why I was so quick to write a manipulation route for it. Hopefully, though, this proves to be a successful strategy for nonmanip and maybe we can host some races or something. Who knows.
