Hi, I’m new to the website so tell me if I’m missing something. After reading the rules for [brawler] 50/100 trophy categories, it seems like you could get a huge advantage by keeping a brawler at 0 trophies until they get to power 9 & star power, then running the category. Do we really want to reward playing an account for a month just to get 1 attempt that, if decently successful, means others can’t compete unless they grind the same? I’ve gotten a star power on a couple brawlers without playing them, but if I were to run now, it would be impossible for others to challenge me unless they too grind and wait for months before attempting a run. You can get a brawler to power 5 fairly quickly on a new account, but even the advantage of gadget vs no gadget saves time that really can’t be made up. A simple solution to this would be saying any power is fine, but gadgets/star powers (and gears) aren’t allowed. Or, make another “high level” category for each brawler. What do you think?

I actually I’ve been thinking about this but wasn’t very keen on writing a long as* paragraph, either way, I do agree with you and think this should be implemented as an actual characteristic of the board! xx Wenduitz ps: I hope mods are fond aswell!!

It’s a good idea but there are some flaws to it.

Currently the rules state that you must be f2p but nothing more. To start with, no matter your power level the bots will match it, e.g. if i had a power 5 Shelly, power 7 brock, and a power 6 edgar (18 power levels between us) the bots would also match it by giving themselves 18 power levels. Another thing you stated is that there should be no star powers, gadgets etc. i agree, although this is only a small advantage as as i said previously, the bots will match you.

A question i propose to you, is what would “high power level” look like. I would love to see your continued idea, and hopefully pass it on to the higher up mods! Breh

@Breh Oh cool, that’s a great argument for ignoring power level (and according to Percy’s pinned forum post, my main account (25,000🏆) would hardly ever encounter bots, which means less easy opponents anyway). Is there updated info on where you’ll be matched up with bots? I’ve been looking for a newer source on that as well as map rotations. I was thinking higher level meant 7+, when you can receive gadgets (and then not be able to turn them off). You could ignore the gadget button I guess lol, if you were theoretically running a “no gadget” category. Also, while I have your attention, is it true I need to have sound on to make a run verifiable? I just never play with sound lol. I was planning on making a twitch account and (somehow) streaming my gameplay I guess. If you have any advice for me I’d greatly appreciate it!
