small timesave after ctc, variation of an idea marushko had

shoot the bike before CtC mission fade so that the fade extinguishes it at low hp (before the call ends)
scratch it up against the wall as in vid
shoot it once with m4 after killing 2nd collectors
scratch it up against the wall after last collectors
run to savewarp zone

if you want Pepega kyfc go buy chainsaw from toolstore before sonny spawns

anti, by accident, managed to get 530 grenades in one of his runs a while back: https:/​/​discordapp.​com/​channels/​139535251235012609/​271678097600806912/​675720041114763336

This works because of when "turret mode" is engaged the game stores your current weapon and it's ammo in memory to return them to you later. However, using clothes replays in a specific way will prevent the game from writing to the ammo counter again and after leaving turret mode it will give you the correct weapon with the incorrect ammo value.

In below segments you can substitute grenades with whatever weapon you want to manipulate the ammo of.

Quick summary:
- Switch to a weapon with a lot of ammo before starting Phnom Penh '86
- Keep this weapon equipped throughout the entire mission, you can switch away after the Mission Passed screen.
- Switch to grenades after starting Supply & Demand
- Double clothes replay into the marker, if you don't get it just play a clothes replay when you're driving the boat, the only thing that matters is getting in flintstones mode.
- Switch to Kruger or M60 and press RMB to cancel flintstones mode before you reach the dealer boat. Shooting to cancel flintstones will NOT work.
- You should now get the grenades at the end of the mission.

Known issues that can mess it up:
- If you die after setting up the ammo in Phnom Penh '86 and before you get the grenades, the value gets set to 0 and you lose grenades instead.
- If you save and reload between Phnom Penh '86 and Supply & Demand the value gets set to 0 and you lose grenades instead.

Are you sure about SRC not supporting subcategories? That's how https:/​/​www.​speedrun.​com/​gtamemes is built, I'm not sure how but that's how it is.

I might be alone in this opinion but hiding "All [Heist]" categories under Misc is my least favorite outcome of this, IMO they should be the ones in main category slots and single heists should be as miscellaneous.

I like Derpeth's idea, but this introduces some difficulty when using the LiveSplit because AFAIK when selecting a category there it won't see categories in that case (like the case is for gtamemes board, if you try to select a game you'll get a game name list instead).

I hoped some things could've been trimmed off or hidden, at the moment it's still very cluttered, having 13 categories all on display at once is an eyesore. Now with Casino Heist and Doomsday Heist CMM's it's only gonna get worse.

Should not start restricting strategies arbitrarily, do whatever approach however you want, maybe doing aggressive stealth is faster than aggressive regular?

Maybe instead of Heists being split by subcategories instead we have a Yes/No variable for Mastermind runs. The runs are pretty much identical and posting the same run in two leaderboards is counterproductive.

There's way too many categories displayed at once right now.

What I suggest is:
Combine All Heists + Criminal Mastermind under one category, then split them by subcategories. This applies to Main and Doomsday heists.
Hide all IL heists under Miscellaneous, as they were earlier.

So the format would look something like
Main Categories:
1. Main Heists -> Splits into Criminal Mastermind and Any difficulty
2. Doomsday Heists - same as above, and call it Doomsday Heists, not Doomsday Heist All Act's (which afaik isn't even grammatically correct).
3.-5. All Survivals, Lowrider Missions and Casino Missions

Miscellaneous Categories:
Fleeca, Prison Break, Humane, Series A, Pac Std., Doomsday Act I, Doomsday Act II, Doomsday Act III

I personally don't like calling it "Any difficulty" in terms of Heists, maybe someone has a better term for runs that are not Mastermind compatible.

Leave any further suggestions you have in this thread.

This is still in exploratory phase, but I figured it would be better to post it here than let it get lost in Discord logs.

Current idea is:

- Move Ammu-Nation shooting range challenge to be the last thing you do before TbD waiting time
- Before Ammu-Nation shooting challenge, make a save icon replay
- After you're done with shooting challenge, dont walk out the door, instead warp, save the game and do the TbD wait thing. (at this point you can enter any interior again to cancel interior world, i.e ammu-nation).
- After the wait, you have to navigate to TbD in the interior world. You can use pickups, peds, map and cars to help you out. This is not as hard as it sounds, you'll get the hang of it.
- Do 12/13x TbD and pass Vigilante. Do the usual 50x Taxi, deliver the fares in interior world and after that enter the ammu-nation shooting range to cancel the interior world.
- continue as normal.

Some small sample size tests I conducted:
current {crash, ok, crash, ok, ok, ok, crash, ok, crash, ok} = 60%
look behind on the drive {ok, ok, crash, ok, ok, crash, ok, ok, crash, ok} = 70%
interior {ok, ok, ok, ok, ok, ok, ok, crash, ok, ok} = 90%

RoK said he also did some testing and got 4/5 - pretty much the same as I did, but on a smaller scale.

There's times where host gains the control first and host is usually the person with the timer and it's pretty much impossible to determine whether or not everyone else has control at the same time because of desync issues.

I already suggested this in the discord at one point but it had mixed results. I personally think it's a pretty good idea since it removes at least most of the random elements from the run, but then it wouldn't be RTA anymore, rather a segmented run.

Whenever submitting Co-op runs, I'll always be set as the Player 4 even thought I set myself as Player 1. This case is the same for 2 player co-op games, the one submitting will always be set as the last one and everyone else shifted one position backward to compensate for that.
