Something a little weird happened here indeed, however I don't think it was worth creating a new thread just for that. If you would like to share your discoveries with others, the best place to do it is the Super Mario Odyssey speedrunning discord
It's relatively common for cappy to clip into places, for example when doing lake clip we use cappy to see if the angle is good, because cappy can clip much easier than mario can, giving a rough idea of if the clip will work.
i know its not worth creating a vid but i wanted to for personal references and also because nothing like that ever happened to me before
good to know to not create a thread for something so little like that. and i'll do this again on the discord if i find something weird that i haven't seen on the internet.
I mean I'm not an expert about that, I just personnally think that those discoveries would be better posted on the Discord. Additionnally, if this thread stays on the website, you might want to rename it so people know exactly what it is about
i have no idea. i just posted this because its a weird discovery that should probably not be on the site more likely on discord. and by looking at it and an actual run, it probably won't save time.
It should not be used in runs. I've done a similar trick before and it doesnt save time. This is because the trick puts you on the left fork, which is farther away from where you want to go.
