The route is simplified, with room for variation and possible improvement.

Room for possible route variations:

• The shmup can be done at any time.
• Jeane's mini-game can be shifted a bit later (but not too late).
• Kimmy/Revenge Missions can be done at any point after getting all of the gym upgrades, but Kimmy must be fought before beating Alice as she cannot be accessed after Alice is dead.
• The Getting Trashed money grind can be done in different ways and at different points, depending on preference.
• Naomi's katanas can be bought right before Cloe, but could be bought later depending on katana preference, i.e. if you want to use the MK-III to the end instead of the Blood Berry. Blood Berry is potentially faster, but MK-III can be more reliable/easier depending on skill/practice.
