It has been done. Me and PatrickPower have decided on the category "Unlock Everything" and that it only requires at least 1 star and there are now 2 complete runs and competition has started, I would like to request that Unlock Everything No Skips and regular Unlock Everything be added as either misc or main, but just to be added. I also didn't say No Items because Grand Prix. Lastly, please, please add No Skips and No Items categories for the cups and anything that doesn't have it. It's ridiculous to have No Items, No Skips, No Items or Skips and regular 32 Tracks be a thing but not for Nitro, Retro or individual cups.

yes but do you need to get a star to unlock everything? i know some characters require a star to unlock, but do you need a star for EVERYTHING for the run to be valid for the charts?
Yes, you need at least a 1 star rank on all 8 cups from 50cc to Mirror to unlock everything.
^Not true. If you have the SMG save file, you don't need to 1-star all the mirror mode cups.
But for other karts and bikes you'll still need to 1 star them. All 8 individual cups unlock something for getting 1 star ranks or better on them.
1That is true for all but mirror mode. your post simply isn't true. You just have to WIN the mirror ones, not one start them. that star requirement is only required for Rosaluma if you don't have the save file for smg.
OK, so 6/8 cups unlock something. Flower and Banana at least go to unlocking the other 4 and those 4 individually, get you something and then Rosalina can be gotten for starring all of the cups. Also, if you only do 7/8 cups you won't get the credits needed for finishing. Btw why do you keep saying 1 at the beginning of all your posts?
Just saying you don't need the star ranking. So say you got an A rank in the speedrun in a mirror cup, you still complete the game /speedrun! Yay! And long story. Couldn't track my posts any other way at the time.

OK, so you need to do 6 cups to unlock Lightning and Special and individually, Lightning and Special get you a vehicle or doing all retro or nitro tracks on Mirror gets you something, I forgot exactly.

No you need at least a star rank on everything. Even if you don't somehow, you'd have to suck to get an A rank and have being bad at Grand Prix and driving the reason for your persistent concern. All I have left to say about not needing all star ranks or not, go test it yourself and get 99% of all at least 1 star ranks in the game on a new file.

You get Phantom for doing Special Cup and Blue Falcon for Lightning. Regardless, your argument is stupid and you only won't get a star if you're really, really bad and you're a great player who's had cup records before so I don't know why the hell you're arguing about this.
- You don't have to be ¤that¤ bad. I've held flap world records yet still have fallen off twice in GP and then only got an A rank, Bad luck with items happens, too.

My focus was more on a technicality aspect not a practicality aspect and there's really nothing wrong with that in a discussion thread.
Look, I don't care if it comes down to one mistake and a record is accepted because it did fall under the requirements despite one A rank, but you continued this with nothing to gain for a ridiculously long time.
