If you are interested in running the glitched categories in this game, you will need to play on an earlier patch than what is currently available on Steam. This guide will teach you how to access a patch that makes these glitches possible.

NOTE: This only works on the Steam version of the game. As a result, it is required that you own both a Steam account and Duck Life Adventure.

This tutorial does not use Duck Life Adventure, but the process is the same aside from what needs to be typed into CMD. If you follow this video, see step 4 for what you should type when doing this for Adventure.

Text Tutorial:

1. Download and install .NET Core 3.1.X (the numbers after 3.1 don't matter, just get a version of 3.1): https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet

2. Download and unzip DepotDownloader (the video uses an earlier version, but the 2.4.0 prerelease build works as well): https://github.com/SteamRE/DepotDownloader/releases/tag/DepotDownloader_2.4.0

3. Open the DepotDownloader folder that you just unzipped (it should be called depotdownloader-2.4.0-prerelease if you downloaded 2.4.0), type "CMD" into the address bar, and press enter. It should look like this before you press enter:

4. Type or copy/paste the following command into CMD, change the Steam username and password to match your account, and press enter. Provide your Steam Guard code and press enter again if needed:

dotnet DepotDownloader.dll -app 1321270 -depot 1321273 -manifest 6165976627332150494 -username <insertyoursteamusernamehere> -password <insertyoursteampasswordhere>

5. When the download is done, check your "depots" folder inside of the depotdownloader folder you have. Assuming you haven't downpatched any other games, you should have a folder called ".DepotDownloader" and one that looks like a bunch of random numbers, click on the numbers folder. Another folder of numbers should appear after doing that, click on that as well. You should then see a "Duck Life Adventure" folder, click on that.

6. Inside the Duck Life Adventure folder, you should see an exe called "Adventure", use this exe whenever you would like to play on the earlier patch. Your Steam download of the game still uses the current patch so launching from Steam WILL NOT WORK.
