Hey guys, I know it not that serious for this game, but could we establish some ground rules, such as how visible the controller has to be, what can be used as far as controllers go, and which emulators are permitted?
I also have some ideas about what would count in each category:
~100%: getting every Winner Bonus on every mountain (displayed on the Vs. version with the winning player character (or a topi for mountains without the bonus achieved)) or collecting all the vegetables
~Any%: the usual
~[Veggie]%: getting to/collecting a specific vegetable as fast as possible
This is just me spitballing as a complete speedrun newbie, hopefully we can set up some rules like this bc right now it seems far too vague for me to know what to do to start setting up and practicing this run
There aren't any rules specific to what controller can be used. Just no turbo or impossible input bindings like Left+Right. For general NES running information, this link contains details as to recommended emulators. (The link is also posted in the rules for each category).

Right now the categories are complete mountains 1-32 or 1-16 (either single player or coop). So I would recommend focusing on those until there is a general consensus of adding additional misc. categories.
Fair enough. If I were to use mesen and have the event viewer showing while I was playing and show what my controls were mapped to, would that be enough to show legitimacy or would I have to show inputs as well?
