The ingame time marked on a save seems to add a few minutes from when you hit triangle to purge, and getting through the credits. Finished in 5:01 in real time, but the save a few minutes later reads 5:05.

Just want to clarify, since there can be a discrepancy between timers stopping at the triangle press, and ingame time.

I usually end it after all the cutcenes were you take control of aloy once again. And then go to load save and check my time like that.

Oh and LastCanhtzGaming do you have discord? add me over there Blades#0424

Hmm.. i guess reloading the last save isnt counting to IGT? Which makes it really unreliable, especially for deaths. Also hitting start at difficulty select and ending at Purge sounds reasonable.

Also DLC/Preorder/digital deluxe items, whatever you want to call them, are we using them? Cause not everybody has them (Me included :P)

  BladesBlades

I dont know about that.In the rules the mod didnt say we cant use it,but ask him again

  SchattentodSchattentod

I know, i just want to clarify it. Just watching your run, thats why it came to me. Also wouldn't shooting the blaze canister of the first sawtooth be faster?

Using the DLC items would have to be against the rules I think; they're too overpowered, it would be a huge unfair advantage for people without them.
I guess there could be another category, with the dlc allowed/disallowed, if we wanted?

  BladesBlades

its basicly a free rare armor.I wouldnt call it ''overpowered'' but if the moderator agrees it shouldnt be used then fair enough 😛 and yes it would probably be faster schattentod.I will try a new run today to beat my PB

  BrassmasterBrassmaster

the DLC armor was over powered. Guerrilla just released a hot fix for it so it isn't as OP, but I still vote against it. for timing, i think the best thing we can really do, is RTA to the purge, but skip through everything so we can save once more to get IGT. either that or we nix IGT all together. I also forgot about difficulty selection... but last menu action before starting a new game is what I meant

  BladesBlades

Yeah its okay either way.Did one without the dlc stuff this time and got a better time anyway 😛

  SchattentodSchattentod

Fuck even more time to catch up too 😛 congrats tho

  BladesBlades

its 4:05:15 🙂 Hopefully our moderator can start confirming runs 😛

  BrassmasterBrassmaster

he's seriously thinking "i thought i was the only one" lol. 4:05 aint bad! wow. I need to hurry up and start running myself! We have a nice community forming as well, so this is pretty exciting for me

  SchattentodSchattentod

Meanwhile i dont even have finished my casual Run 😛 Let alone routed anything or taken notes.

This is really small, but I've discovered a small movement optimization...

If you roll into a resource (medicinal herb, ridgewood), and your roll ends just short of the resource (need to test this more, it's not 100% reliable yet) you can press triangle to pick up the resource without the pick-up animation. The roll animation cancels the pick-up one. Perhaps there's even a way to work this into the run-slide-roll movement people have discovered; it would save precious seconds to stop, pickup a resource, and regain speed.

Let me know if you guys can replicate this!
