My new No OOB Any% record was rejected and I just wanted to ask if that’s a permanent rejection or if it’s just being investigated as it says. Just wanted to know why so I don’t break any rules or something next time I try to improve if that’s the problem. Still kinda new to all this so sorry if it’s a dumb question.

I talked with LoveBot and he seems to think it's not legit. But can't prove anything. The fact you have muted audio doesn't help you too.

Yeah I have muted audio because friends were talking about some stuff that I didn’t fancy keeping in video raw like that, thought muting would be fine. I can get those times pretty reliably now so maybe I could prove it via streaming idk, if not I do have the raw videos with audio. Some time savers are faster key pick up method, jumping earlier down from stairs and swapping keys before arriving at door you’re going to use them on.

now that i'm rewatching it, the lag doesn't help your case either

When I load in I have to wait a bit cuz it lags, then I have to press Escape twice or else my cursor enters my second monitor when I turn around. If you try the run as many times as me you will see that it is pretty unoptimized. Just let met know what LoveBot thinks is fishy except for lag and audio, I will try to beat it tomorrow anyways and get it on a stream VOD and/or clip.

I've run this a fair bit, and I dont see how its possible to get a 1:13 without any new tech. On your first 1:15's, you're even losing seconds in places over the current WR. Places that doesnt rely on movement. I started suspecting movement speed could have been tampered with.
Me discovering you clearly having knowledge in modification of games made me even more uneasy.

Excuse me what? I literally have touched none of the files and only changed the few settings possible to be changed in game. It’s clear that i havent sped up or spliced anything and if you actually do the movement routes I take and time them you can see that I have the same movement speed as anyone else. I save a lot of time on key pick up and stairs at start, as well as doing electrical box with only one misstimed press which is where it’s easy to lose a lot of time. My lines are clean and I swap keys before reaching doors to use them on, all of these things combined obviously lowers the time drastically. And about the modification of games I have no idea what you’re talking about unless it’s making FlingBinds for ASAMU which I did on stream which was me just following a tutorial.

In general I find it ridiculous to reject runs with no valid proof except for speculation.

I could be over stepping my bounds here, but this is what I understand from the situation: (I’m not a mod, just watching)

Your runs don’t have obvious signs of cheating. However, there are things in the video, such as no sound and lag. These are two significant indicators that someone has spliced or augmented a run in some way. Because of your video not having sound and having lag, it makes your video suspicious.

The HOC community has had cheaters in the past, one who took the WR for Any% for months. I think it’s safe to say that the mods are a little on edge for cheaters.

I understand that you are frustrated, and rightfully so if the run is real. It’s just the mods can’t accept a WR unless they don’t have any doubts about the run’s credibility.

You said earlier in your posts that you’ve gotten more consistent in your runs. I would suggest streaming these runs, having audio, trying to reduce lag any way you can, and along with any other suggestions that the mods have.

And also I think it would be a good idea to have a level head when talking in these forms (or anyone over the internet). Talking in a demeaning or attackive way won’t help your case.

For the mods : What do you think (s)he could do to reduce speculation in his run?

It's suspicious because as much as people have run the category I'm sure 1:16 is the maximum time.. Having no audio and less lag would help too. One thing that I found incredibly suspicious about the 1:13 run is how consistent the "lag" was. As if there is some splicing or something going on.

Like I have that whole VOD with audio showing so many of my runs that I did before as well but you still dont believe it’s real. This is frustrating because the runs are real and I’ve put a lot of time in to getting them but no matter what I do you don’t seem to believe it. The «lag» comes from the game being so horribly optimized so I tried making it a bit better for myself and activated VSync which is probably why it seems consistent or whatever, I didn’t use VSync on the first runs tho.

It’d be nice if you could come up with a way for me to prove it’s real cuz it’s hella frustrating having put all this time in to get these runs but having it be impossible to defend myself. I was thinking of filming with my phone me doing the inputs and whatever but then I’d probably be rejected because of the movement speed accusations anyways...

So what's going to happen now? Unless someone can come with a concrete claim with proof against the run I'd like it to go on the leaderboard because having it be rejected because of pure speculation like this is annoying.

Upload the video onto youtube, I'd like to see this for myself before I judge. But this demanding attitude of yours tends to come form an unhonestest person.

I have a lot of hours in this game, I just never post a run unless it's a world record. I understand the optimization and it's not really an issue unless you seriously have a toaster of a computer.

As for finding cheaters and splicers, I was the one who exposed Thirdnugget and brought the attention to Charlie and your video shows many signs similar to thirdnuggets run.

I can run any other game fine even when streaming so idk what the problem is but it's not my PC. First of all I can't splice together a 3 second timesave if it truly was impossible anyways, and if you actually try my route yourself and compare to my vid you will see I haven't sped up anything and that I'm not moving faster than anyone else.
