Increase run times

I seem to keep getting a 20s time in OoB, and in No OoB, i get 1:45 with the most optimization i could do. My computer can run HoC with a smooth 60fps. Can anybody help me? The only reason I run this game is to see myself improve, and without any way to improve my time to at least 19 secons for OoB (I haven't sent a no OoB run yet), running this game seems like a waste of time.

It's really all about luck with the clips and you should watch a No OOB run. Maybe you can learn from it and lower your time.

Thanks for the short respond time, I appreciate it alot! about 4 months ago, i watched Kr1tIkAl's run on HoC, and i thought, hey, i should do that! I got the game on sale for 50 cents, and fired it up. Unfortunately, my currently-in-shambles laptop is, well, in shambles, and it cant run HoC. When i got windows for a Macintosh pro 2016, and started running not to long ago. I then got my 1st run time of 20 seconds. 17th place wasnt bad, i thought, but i could do better! I... thought wrong. I then thought about doing No OoB. nnnnnope. i got a PB of 1:45, and thats it. I hope you can see what possible mistakes im making.

Flick the chair instead a full look down on it, only fully look down at the chair when you are escaping the key room, and if you land and run sideways after the first chair skip, you run faster.

Guess I can point out a few things that I noticed in your run. First of all, your game seems to lag a lot at the beginning. It is perfectly fine to start the timing the moment you start moving instead of the moment the game loads in. It usually lags horribly for a second or two when it loads everything in the beginning, so just wait through that, and start timing as soon as you move. Then there are a few obvious optimisations, like not getting stuck on the pillar in the basement, not flying as high in the first clip, not clipping into the wrong room for the second clip, and having a better angle so you land closer to the door with the second clip. If your second clips always look the way they do in your PB, I feel like that's where you can do the most improvements. Just watch WR and try to mimic the positionings and angles from there.
