Why would you need to beat the Pantheon of Hallownest, when it would be faster to beat the game with the Hollow Knight fight? Because the last pantheon doesn't give any percentages.
it's 112% AB, which stands for all bosses. we do the final pantheon because it has new bosses like winged nosk and sisters of battle. but even before we specified "all bosses", it was sort of an unspoken rule. after all, audiences would expect that you end a godmaster speedrun with the godmaster ending, not the normal ending. sort of like how 100% has an unspoken rule of fighting the radiance instead of getting sealed siblings.
These are no longer unspoken rules. If you click the "More" tab under 1xx% you will see the versions that do not include extra content.
