Many games have been added to the site without people running them. Some will be in the list of games without runs forever.

People add games, but do not run them.

But there are definitely runs out there with a single run (the mod) which never did a run again since months.

@blueYOSHI Boards are getting deleted if they're not set up, not if they don't have any runs. For instance, if someone requests a board and then just doesn't bother to make categories and rules for it. A board is perfectly fine sitting empty waiting for someone to fill it, providing it's set up correctly.

@blueYOSHI Leaderboards don't get deleted if there aren't any runs. They get deleted automatically if not a single category has been set up in 2 weeks.

I will admit, one of the games I submitted, back when you still could submit a game without your own run, I still have not run. ( http://www.speedrun.com/iamalive ) But someone else has, and it's still very much on my 'to-do list.' Frankly I do think the change to requiring your own run for a board to be approved -- and to accepting fewer shitty Flash games -- is good for the site.

I think people should run King's Field games more often. They are cult games known for difficulty and freakouts. The older version of Dark Souls by FromSoftware.

If it bothers you, do a run? Over 600 free WRs.

Edit: Looking through the list, most of them were added because a game in a series was added. I suppose a mod thought, "why not just add the whole series." The remaining... probably a case like emeraldaly's: intending to run, but other things are taking priority.

Friendly reminder that nobody takes a 'WR' that is uncontested seriously.

If it's a game you're passionate about that nobody else happens to run and you've spent a lot of time and effort optimising it, then fair enough. But if you do a single run of a game and say "Look at my WR", nobody is going to be impressed.
