Does anyone know if the gauntlet glitch works on console?

Yes, the duping itself works. However on latest patch you cant do the OOB done in wr to get back in (you can on 1.00), so you'd either do the older method as is done in jolielegal's 7h30 any%classic run, or you can use a ledge buffer to get back inside

It does minor differences depending on which patch there is a loadless version, however i never got it to work

warping back into a gauntlet that's blocked on both sides only works on older patches. It's the same as when we used to only dupe 2 gauntlets, that wouldn't work on latest patch either. So that method would only work on 1.00 I guess.

I couldn't get that warp to work on 1.00 either.
