How to bloodbowl:

I had a thought a few weeks ago of phone-call starting bloodbowl to take advantage of gaining control during the opening scene of the mission and getting to the first marker before the opponents. Of course, this would be deemed slower than just starting bloodbowl and getting lucky with the markers and hoping the other cars don't snatch the time bonus away. But hey, ffzPussyStrats

How to remove traffic from the roads:

The most interesting discovery after playing around with this strategy (or more likely my fails) was that the roads seemed somewhat empty. When this occurred I had failed bloodbowl by getting wasted which spawns you just outside the stadium.

So to partially remove traffic from the roads, simply phone-call start bloodbowl twice (2) and get yourself wasted as soon as the mission begins. There's a problem of the mission flag in doing so and starting any other mission, main or side, will crash the game so you'll need to either pass the mission on the second instance (leaves a big grey box on the screen) or simply let the timer run out.

To completely remove traffic from the roads, phone-call start blood-bowl 3 times but you'll notice on the 3 time you'll be unable to move and/or get wasted. This is important to ensure the mission flag is off to prevent the game from crashing when starting any main or side mission. Additionally, phone-call starting and getting wasted once gives CJ 30+k MP5 ammo (not like that is any use).

Known problems: There's no cars except for fix spawn car locations (ofc). Switch to the MP5 on the second start-up or else the weapon you're currently holding will be equipped in the car making it more difficult to get wasted. Passing the mission on the second instance leaves a the grey box of the result of bloodbowl on screen.

In the video I show how to phone-call start bloodbowl and also complete a main mission (Jizzy) to demonstrate it's application. I mess around with police stars and you'll notice a lack in police presence on 6¤s.

Any thoughts on implementing the strategy for any% & 100% would be welcomed but I understand being stranded in the middle of the desert is not exactly fast. Although, this strategy should make optimal IL's easier to achieve.

Just played with this glitch and noticed that for some weird reasons traffic reappears after some time. It happened like in the middle of the races I was trying. You can see how it happens in the video below.

Gael, for that reason I kept that strat secret... Reset, there are no car cops, only foot cops when you are on foot, the scripted cop spawns and road blocks.

The time save is too big, we will have to accept the Woozie skip. I could hope for people just forgetting this 4¤ LV/Desert thing but it would be stressful and most likely would not work in the long term. Unless you don't buy that, please don't shoot the messenger... thanks. Well, you can still hate me since I found SA mission duping...

Madd Dogg cancels it so that you get normal traffic and cops again, SMB unlocks LV.

IIRC, the foot cops are not that bad since we have 120 missiles from Toreno's Last Flight.

I am currently working on a way to get over the ... those 50cm high thungs on bridges that keep you from falling of ... of the LV bridge.

Calls can be taken by saving and then from the "saved - ok' screen on you pause buffer and hope you get the call.

Flying has the risk of Hydras shooting you, but not during.

Madd Dogg with cops is fun.

Stowaway without parachute is fun.

Freefall is back, but without the Hydras at least.

On the upside, non of the SF missions from Photo Opportunity require traffic, so unless there is a mission like Madd Dogg we could use this from Photo Opportunity on. For Snail Trail we use a parked car to get scrioted cop spawns using the 3¤ from Outrider which we do not need to get rid off since now cops are quite managable.

The fucking bullshit Explosive Situation dupe is obsolete.

The messenger is only reporting the facts, he is not responsible for them. Therefore, it does not make sense to dislike him. It would be if the message was "you are not funny", though. :D In this case it is different, though: My message is that 4¤ are the optimal route now, I was the first to say that in the thread.

Flying..... If I had finished the sentence it would have said that Freefall disables Hydra spawns. IIRC, it is "disable_air_traffic".

The only barriers there are at the Badlands side, this is south of LV. It wastes on minute compared to the first bridge south to that one but getting past that - I could never get close to it...

Okay. It was my bad. The reappearing traffic thing that I was getting was probably because of the blow up all cars cheat. I stopped using it to restart races quickly and the traffic didn't reappear anymore. (probably useful note for people like me who only do ILs)

Would you still dupe High jack with 4¤ LV?

Its possible to dupe monster (you can get in the truck in the cutscene so it doesn't explode) and skip High jack

Not sure if you can use blood bowl to dupe after you set up the no cars thing, so would have to use trucking?

Haha, magical! I accelerate during the cutscene and the truck jumps out free after the cutscene is done. Afaik, you cannot dupe and get control in the cutscene, though. You can have one instance and om=0 or two instances and om=1, there is no way to get a call with two instances.

Start monster with OM 0 then start it again. Skip first cutscene CJ should be next to the truck. Another cutscene loads, skip that. Then you can get in the truck. Just dont spam spacebar to much when skipping first cutscene

Just tried it a few more times and seems consistent for me. I had it wrong though, when you start it the second time spam spacebar really fast until CJ is next to the truck, then wait for second cutscene, skip that, then get in truck

Have you tested if both instances pass? For me, one gets stuck. This is what it keeps executing:

l224 is set to 0 and l229 is set to 1 by one instance and the other one gets stuck in this loop because of this.

I duped by teleporting into the marker while the guys explains to me how the Monster works at the start. I could not get your method consistent, it would keep softlocking. I will elaborate on my testing results after your response if you could pass both. The short version is that I have to skip the cutscene very fast the second time I start Monster, else I get both the first and the "Monster Tutorial cutscene" at the same time and cannot do anything (not skip, not move).

i did this 3 times so far and i was able to pass both everytime. Interdiction started just fine.

I do nothing special during the first instance, when starting it the second time, I rapidly skip the cutscene by slowly rolling the mouse wheel. Most of the time it is still not fast enough and it softlocks (I get the tutorial and intro cutscene at the same time). I read the log: When you start it the second time, you fail one instance due to the car being "wrecked" and the other one keeps running. Shortly after, Monster is restarted (since you still stand inside the marker and om=0 from the failing instance). If you skip the cutscene fast enough, the still running instance triggers a fade and that fade delays the starting of Monster (not the yellow Monster text, though, but that does not matter).

It does not seem to matter if I skip the tutorial cutscene. This time I did not in order to test if it matters.

So, did you see anything unusual or wrong and can help?

Finally, the question is also if this dupe is much faster than duping High Jack. HJ is very long with the detour and also takes long to dupe (I use a wasted warp to get closer, but it still takes 3:45 start-> finish). I am worried that someone finds some insane and risky way to use a different bridge, so I hope you are right and this is consistent if done right.

I can't see that video. Did you get in the truck when starting the first time?

Are you sure it makes a difference? My description in the previous post is simplified. When you start Monster during Monster, the original Monster is cancelled, you get two new Monster instances, the first one starts at the very beginning, the second one starts somewhere in the middle. The second one immediately fails (car "wrecked"), the first one keeps running.

"Somewhere in the middle" is the wait command that the original Monster was at the moment you start Monster again. That wait command should be the same no matter if you ever went into the truck. Check the scm, the waits are for things to load, fadings and there is the one in the main loop which was the one always used when I checked the log. (offset 5xxx)

No idea if it makes a difference worth trying though. The way the mission ended in your video was definitely different to what I get. For me he has 1 more line of dialogue. Could be a version thing? I'm on 1.01

I will try upload a video showing key presses later.

and yeah the black box stays forever if you dupe it O.o
