I assume the loadless time takes priority over RTA for Heist speedruns? If this is the case i would like to know if using races to warp to apartments is something that would be allowed? I have made my own races for various locations around the map mostly outside of the main apartments used for heists and Ammunation to buy armor etc. This could be called a glitch I suppose but it makes heisting more fun due to much less down time. A lot of the records were recorded before the Doomsday update and for anyone unaware after the DD update the phone invites you receive from Lester have been very delayed. (1.5 - 2 minutes before receiving phone invite)
If this is something anyone would be interested in i can post the job links to the the main apartments in this thread.

Here is a video of me doing the "Glitch"

You just launch the job and as you are loading in from the cloud you spam right click and enter to leave the job before it loads. After you leave you will spawn where ever the races trigger location is. This is something that is very simple and everyone can do so i strongly suggest that this be allowed.

Only RTA matters and this warp is already used in some newer runs, so it's fine.

Only RTA matters? that doesn't seem fair. Loading times can vary up to like a minute.
I think all new runs be ranked by loadless first. That is the only way to actually compare runs by skill and not who got better loads.

For example I just did a full Prison Break with some Koreans and our RTA: 39:11 & Loadless: 26:41 vs the current WR of RTA: 34:40 & Loadless 25:07

Our actual gameplay was only 1 minute 34 seconds slower but our RTA timer was 4 minutes 31 seconds slower. Seems a little unfair in my opinion. I think RTA timer should still be listed but not take priority.

(Also if that apartment warp thing is already used and allowed that is great i did not know :D)

The main problem with taking loadless time into account is the actual process of getting the loadless time is a heck of a process to go through, we cant exactly use tools as the tools before have been detected reading gta online memory address and could propose a treat to getting banned.

I do agree that gta online loading times have been inconsistent and the lester invites have been getting delayed more and more due to updates that add more contacts contacting you upon connecting first

Yep, especially for CMM manually timing the Loadless time would be a lot of work but i think with the lack of submissions it wouldn't be to hard. I could even do it my self.

Switching to IGT takes away the skill away from getting to the next setup faster in All Heists/CMM runs. Unless you want to have the timer run in Freeroam as well.

Now that apartment warps are a thing driving to the apartment is never done. It is even faster to warp to integrity after Series A setups than it is to drive.

What i'm proposing is that for all Full heist Speedruns and CMM's each setup and finale be manually timed from when all 4 players gain control of their characters to the point of the green flash at the end. A CMM only has 26 or 28 segments. This would only take about 10-20 minutes to time and add up.

If apartment warps where not a thing i would totally be on the side of RTA being priority because yes there is skill in driving back to the best apartment but this is not the case anymore.

There's times where host gains the control first and host is usually the person with the timer and it's pretty much impossible to determine whether or not everyone else has control at the same time because of desync issues.

I already suggested this in the discord at one point but it had mixed results. I personally think it's a pretty good idea since it removes at least most of the random elements from the run, but then it wouldn't be RTA anymore, rather a segmented run.

Segmented run, the timer run only when the players are in missions if I remember well. So the loading AND the moments in freeroam are not counted.

When running any game where versions can't be controlled updates can always make speedstrats better or worse. Since the record run we submitted was done over 2 years ago, numerous of faster cars have become available (maybe weapons too?), some which save over 30s in a single setup due to new, really innovative strats which require quite a bit of skill to execute (i.e. Prison Break - Station). Should these be then be banned since they weren't available when the record was set? Obviously we musat accept changes and try to make the best of what is available (If something made old records completly unbeatable I'd argue differently, but me and RoK know that sub 3:30 is very doable today and was doable back when we set the record).

Idk if loads are consistenly longer nowadays, but there have always been large differences in load times in GTA:O. We were 3 europeans and 1 american which resulted in numerous runs lost to DCs, infinite loads and desync making shit go wrong.

Also, I would consider menuing a skill to master for speedrunning as well as gameplay and therefore keep the timer running during all menus if you chose to forgo the loads (for the segmented run you are talking about, but if it gets a leaderboard or not is not up to me).

Well i guess the leader boards will just be a list of who had better loads then. Every record is easily beatable i agree, We have already beaten the RTA time for Prison break but we are losing almost 2 minutes out of heist time compared to WR due to high ping and there is no way to avoid it. Load times vary so much RTA is nothing more than a rough estimate.

The thing is that there really isn't any "out of Heist time" when the run is from the start of the first setup to the end of the finale. And load times are not a consistent thing, and never will be in GTA:O.
Things are timed the same way in Classic%, a category where text message RNG can lose you several minutes.
If you have a run with bad loads (or other bad RNG) you reset and try again. That is the nature of speedrunning. It is a very repetitive grind.

Yes but all of the Classic% Runners play on the same patch. So yes there still is RNG with text messages and there are ways to manipulate it into being better. But GTA Online over the years things have changed. The loading times in general have gotten worse as well as Lester's invites being so slow its not even possible to wait on them anymore. there is literally no competition for out of heist game play anymore since we use apartment warps after every single setup that doesn't spawn you in the apartment.

At the start of each setup that i am not the host of i'm stuck on a loading screen for 10-15 seconds before i can ready up.
